"Ok Mynce. Enough. I know when I signed on that I would never get the full story but this is my life here and you know that I need to try to stay alive as long as possible. I at least know with you that if I lose my life in the field it was for a good reason and I can live with it. All I know is that she has an agenda and it may not include my continued existence. How I am suppose to know she won't throw my life away because it advances her goals? You I know, her I don't."
Her voice cracks with anger and fear. |

:: Mynce sighs. ::
"I recommended you to her because of your capacity to read people. I should have known you'd be just as adept at reading me. I can't give you the straight cut answers you seem to want. My hands are utterly tied in this, but believe me when I say that if you are willing to die for me, you are willing to die for her." |

Sully takes a deep cleaning breath.
"Ok, I'll go with the flow. I am going to trust you because you've earned it." She straightens up and turns to leave. She pauses at the doorway, silhouetted by the dim light of the bar. "I want to thank you for everything so far but if I've been played and survive I will find you and settle up. I can't let her down unless it's making the world a better place for her. She's all I have left." She walks out and dials Trace to let him know she in on route to his place. |

Jack spares a long, incredulous look for Wraith.
"You want me to hack the biggest security company on the planet's host?" He scrubs at his eyes for a moment, positive he must have heard wrong. "We're not on a time scale, and nobody's hurting for n'yen, so ah'd rather take tha time to send outta few ma' feeler's before ah tackle somethin' like tha." His speech seems to take on alot more of the Texan drawl as he gets tired. "It'll prolly take a couple a' days, so yer welcome to head home, and ah'll get ahold of tha group as soon as ah hear something." |

Trace arrives home to his rundown apartment in West Seattle. Despite the outward appearance of the building the interior was fairly nice. The building was card entry only, and to date he hadn't any problems. After entering the building he immediately walked to the managers office and knocked on the door.
An old run down orc opened, one eye wider than the next, "Jack, right? You have your rent?" Trace produced two-grand in cash for the old orc. "Sorry it was late, heres for the next 2 months. Take care." The old man gives him a quizzical look, "wow, in advance, ok sir, have a nice day." Trace smiled and headed home. A quick astral scan told him the wards he placed on his apartment were still intact, and that meant no intruders. He closed and locked the door behind him and took a look around. He was going to have to moves some things around for the summoning. He got to work. He cleared out his small living room until there was a large enough space for him to work. It was getting warm so he removed his jacket and shirt and worked in his cotton t-shirt. He took his time intricately drawing the concentric circles and diagrams on the floor, when he was done he checked them against his computer to make sure they were exact, they were. Once done he prepared some food and waited for the phone call from Crimsons fixer, hopefully the guys would have the materials soon. The ringing phone caught him off guard, Sully's voice at the other end. "Right. Well that's great but the fixer hasn't called me yet, truthfully I was hoping he would call sooner, but if you don't mind coming by, I could do some astral recon. Thanks, see you soon." |

Wraith shrugs. "I don't know anything about Decking. If you aren't up to par for that, then skip it. There are other places to look. Maybe you could at least do a search to see if any info comes up linking Knight Errant and our target?"

:: Responding to Niere's comment about PD's eye camera ::
"Yeah, I know. But when I asked, the owner got pretty pissed. Plus, the owner is also my current employer, so I didn't want to start off by disobeying his wishes." PD keeps a straght eye on here when he lies about Crimson's sex, hoping that she won't notice anything that would lead her to believe that he's hiding anything. It's not that I don't trust her, he thinks to himself as he leaves the Vixen shortly there after, it's just that I know she's willing to help anyone out if they have the right amount of money. :: Responding to Mac :: "How quick can you get me the estimates in time and money for a rating 4 and a rating 6 ecryption package? Based on those estimates I'll decide which I want." PD doesn't realy understand what rating 4 and rating 6 really represent in terms of encryption and the difficulty someone would have breaking the codes, he just recalls Wraits suggestions and reiterates them to Mac. |

Sully:
:: Mynce sighs heavily as she watches Sully disappear. Then orders a full bottle of Jamison from the tender and holes up with her booze obscurred in the smoke of her cigarettes for the rest of the evening. :: PD: :: Mac mumbles to himself a bit before responding. :: "Eh..I could get you the 4 by tomorrow but the 6 would take a couple of days. I'll give you a good deal, but I have to wait and see what my suppliers are gonna charge me." -- :: Niere shrugs, apparantly taking what you said at face value. :: "As long as you keep your bar tab under control, I'm cool with it." Trace: :: As soon as you set the phone down from Sully, your phone rings again. The obviously false english accent seeps through the phone lines into your ear as the glib magician speaks. :: "Right then. I'm able to get you materials for a force 4 of either/or both of the fire and water elementals...you have any particular flavor in mind? I can get you norse, druidic, arcane or even some eqyptian. Though, that will cost a bit more. Also, I only have a force 2 and a force 3 foci for fireball. Depending on your flavor of materials, the price will vary, but the Foci will be 7,000¥ for the both. That's a special deal since your an asset now. |

"Excellent. The standard arcane materials are more common so I can give you a slight discount on them as well. Let's say an even 14k for everything. I'll leave them with Maddy and you can square up with her. I have an appointment I must attend this eve."

Before closing the connection with Mac PD says, "See if you can get a price quote for me on the rating 6 gear and I'll get back to you. If it's under 7.5k nuyen I can probably handle it right about now. If not, I'll probably go with the rating 4."

:: Mac chuckles. ::
"7.5 wont come close. See, if you're getting it for your phone you'll have to have a decryp and an encryp. The encryp is cheap...I can get it for 4k. The decryp is double that. If you want comms, Id recommend going for the full set, it's cheaper than upgrading, but it's still pricy at 12k. Same as upgrading your phone but has some extra goodies on it." |

"Right, I'll pick 'em up from there." Trace disconnects and immediately dials Sully, "change of plans omae. I need to pick up the materials from Maddy, and then find a nice out of the way place to start a fire. I was thinking I could do it here but I don't have the room, I'll meet you at the club."
After Sully responds he disconnects, calls a cab, and heads for the club. |

"Ok, I'll be out in front waiting for you. If it's just space you need I can hook you up. I have a friend we can rent a space from out in Snohomish so no neighbors to piss off. It'll cost 200 nuyen an hour for the space and it's a little nutty-crunchy but it should work."

Trace arrives at the club not long after he spoke with Sully. He smiles as he approaches the bouncer, sure he would be let in this time. "I'm here to see Maddy. I'm expected."

:: The towering muscle moves aside wordlessly and then steps back across the entrance the moment you've passed. ::
:: The Velvet Garage is a bit more active now, about half the seating is taken up by small clusters of friends, and collegues. Though you can definately see hints of professional in most of them, you notice not a single groups looks to be discussing business. Within the span of 10 minutes, you see two of the 6 downstairs rooms empty of obvious teams which split up as the majority leave and a few take seats in the main room. :: :: The lighting subtly changes until the room is slightly smokey and romantically dim. An almost magical white aura of light begins to coalesce and a silhouette of a figure appears at it's center. Then a deep soulful voice begins to fill the well designed hall with old school blues. As she sings, the light plays on her like moonlight twinking on a lake and you find yourself immobile for the entire length of her performance. As she finishes her melody, she smiles and fades once again from sight with the use of clever lighting on the hidden stage, though even in the astral, her graceful slip from the stage was impressive in it's stealth. :: :: Blinking for a moment, you then remember why you're here. :: |

Wow, good voice.
Remembering why he was there Trace looked for Maddy, hoping to get his gear and get out. He was distinctly uncomfortable in the club, he wasn't sure why, but it gnawed at him. |

Wraith leaves Jack's appartment and heads out, but does leave Jack a number that he can call Wraith in case any questions come up.
Starting up his Aurora, he speeds through the city towards the general direction of the target building. He rides around for a while, getting a feel for the area and double checking that things he sees are the same as what comes up on his Mapsoft. Using his GPS and Orientation System, he maps out all the smaller alleys that wouldn't show up on a map as general as the one he currently has, then adds the data into the Mapsoft. He is careful to stay at least a block away from the target building, just to be safe. |

:: Maddy is talking quietly with a couple at the bar and her friendly smile warms shows off her genuine concern for her patrons. She notices you approach and she excuses herself from the pair and moves slightly down to your location. ::
"Evening Trace. Jamison left a package for you, said Crimson would deduct your account appropriately. Can I get you a drink while your here? On the house of course. Moira should be performing again in about 20 mintues." |

"Thanks, but no thanks, I don't drink on runs," he says politely. At the mention of the beautiful singer he pauses slightly.
"Belive me, I would like to stay, but biz is biz." He says with a sigh. "I'll just get the stuff and get out if you don't mind." Another pause. "On second thought I think I will catch her next song, then I really have to go," he says with a smile. |

Satisfied that he has taken in all the info he can about the place, Wraith opens a line to Trace from his phone.
assuming Trace answers "Hey, Jack is gunna be busy for a while so he told me to take off and he'll call me when he needs me. In the mean time, I've taken it upon myself to map out the area around the target. So far, I haven't got too close to the place, but I figured that while I was here I could do a drive-by and get a look at the outside locks. If I can figure out who made them, then I take a good guess at who made the lock inside. Trust me, I won't be seen." |

:: Maddy smiles wide, recognizing yet another admirer of Moira. Ever since she began performing, the place has warmed up considerably. She pulls out a crystal glass and fills it with ice, hovering the spout over the glass she cocks her head to the side. ::
"How bout a coke then?" :: Pouring the drink, she motions to a particularily good seat at an empty table off to the left of the center of the room. :: |
