Thanks! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Forgot about the board one. So yeah, no useful data search/contacts/knowledges for this. All over the drone surveillance though. |

Sure, no problem. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
When there is no such OOC place for the character sheets (i.e. they are not open), then I just send it to myself as a PM to have it accessible via the forum. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Bye Thanee |

No contacts either. We can case the place for outside security and devise a way for NestO to break in, as going in the front door really isnt NestO's style (sounds dirty considering we're talking about a bunraku parlor (IMG:style_emoticons/default/spin.gif) ). Any way we look at it, the best approach is a stealth approach.

I have a lowlife Fixer contact that may have Japanese connections. It's with the corps, though Mitsuhama is tied to the yaks. The thing is the Fixer keeps that secret from Sam lest Sam does something rash.
Sam will ask though, he's the only shadow contact he really has. No data search or anything like that. We don't gots no deckers. |

Hollywood has a yakuza contact- a gun dealer with some yak ties, but his loyalty is only 1 so we'd have to be real careful about how we utilize him (i.e.- if we ask the wrong questions it could get back to the yaks). He might be able to give us a "referral" to the bunraku parlor tho.

I think the best, non traceable way is to scope it out and break in.

Every other way exposes alot more of the team. We either need to buff our way in, and possibly get made (identified) or sneak in. Sneaking in gives the added benefit of suprise if I get caught as my rescuers bust in for me. We'll have still not tipped our hand. Its just a suggestion.
Or, a combination of bluffing and sneak in, might offer more exit strategies. |

Well, as with every good SR run, we should start with some legwork and find out more about it... that should hopefully help with the planning. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Indeed. Once we move on from that scene, I take it milk has a post that ends that. We can start doing the legwork and asking our contacts.

So, who votes we jump ahead to a bar or other shadowy establishment to plan this job? Hollywood knows a thing or two about the bunraku operation (per a PM milk sent me) that he can share.

Hey guys. I'm sorry I've been gone for so long, it was never my intention to leave you hanging. I'll be honest; there was a period of pretty much total inactivity in the thread, and I interpreted that as nobody having any fun with the story. I kept checking back in, and there was some random chatter here on the OOC thread, but the IC page didn't move. It slipped off the first page, and didn't come back. Maybe you guys were having fun, and were just busy doing other things, but to me, it felt like maybe my stuff just wasn't any good. As a result, I kinda shied away from the forums a bit.
I honestly felt really bad when I logged in today and saw people asking if or when I'd resurface. I do really apologize for that, I guess I just felt like nobody would care if the story stopped moving entirely, you know what I mean? And look, if this is something you guys still really wanna do, I'll make time for it. I was enjoying writing this story up, I just kinda got burned out when the interest started to fade. I'll leave it up to you guys where to go from here. -milk. |

I wouldn't read so much into it. This seems to be the natural course of PbP games- there's always a lot of enthusiasm as a game gets started and then things inevitably slow down. This is kinda the usual pace for a PbP game.

Yeah, with PbP you really have to expect that sometimes things are not moving fast (and with the upcoming holidays, this will definitely happen more). Sometimes everyone waits for everyone else to make a post... which isn't a good idea. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
I would definitely like to continue. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Bye Thanee |

My GMing experience is all F2F, but it is a hard balancing act, between keeping the game moving and giving everyone a chance to shine.
I know that some times, my character will be part of the action and some times other characters will be in the spot light. The big think, I see is players need to keep checking in. Just a one liner to let everyone know that you are still there and approve of the direction the other characters are going in, helps keep the game going. |
