At GenCon Catalyst sold a good number of Seattle 2072 sourcebooks, and since then the world has been atwitter (and a-Twittering) about when the general population would get their hands on this bad boy. Well, the wait is almost over--Seattle 2072 has a street date of November 10th! So get ready to hit your FLGS and either pick up a copy or demand that they get one in post-haste!

I have high hopes for this book. It'll likely be the first book in SR4 I've preordered.

Seattle 2072 & Running Wild may have to wait until X-Mas, or the next ICON for me.

Been jealously glaring at friends copy he got at Dragoncon. He'll feel safer knowing I'll have my own copy soon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ninja.gif)

The Battleshop pre-order had it at $44.99, so I imagine that's what it will be.

I'd say it's on par with the SR4A book, designwise and all.

Keep in mind that "Core" books are almost always cheaper (Factoring in page counts, production values, and the like). This is for two reasons:

1) Point of Entry. You want the core book to be attractively priced to get people to buy it. Hook them there, and then bring them back for more.

2) Volume. Main rulebooks usually sell way more copies than any additional books for the line do, so this means they're cheaper to produce. Volume = Discounts in almost all businesses. So that means they can pass those savings back to the consumer.

Seattle 2072 is a bit smaller, but otherwise has the same production values as SR4A. Hardcover, full color, high gloss paper, etc.

Cool, I did not know it was hardcover... I was expecting it to be like Ghost Cartels and Emergence... That is good to know...
It just sounds a bit pricey as the other CGL Hardbacks have priced at about $34.95 USD... but Full Color would definitely address that inconsistency...

*takes a deep breath*

Ok, I hate to bring this up, but...

I pre-ordered the thing the day it went up on BattleCorps. The last product I pre-ordered was SR4A, which arrived 27 days after the street date of the product at my FLGS.

Can I reasonably expect that this time I should receive the product on or at least reasonably close to the street date?
