I guess I haven't been paying enough attention... but are you making a stealth character that uses an MMG? Going to make sneaking about very difficult for you I'd imagine.

Because you make Jordan redundant skill-wise. She is Blades/Unarmed with guns but her main area is Stealth, and from what you posted you are pretty much the same except with spellcasting tacked on top to make you even better given your spell choices with potential to expand to cover other things that she can't.

Do keep in mind that something has to be given up to gain access to that spellcasting. Regardless though I know how you feel about having similar skillsets. Both of you have some similarities to Tempest/Lash, as she is a stealthy melee type with spellcasting tacked in for good measure. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

It is rather inevitable though that there will be overlaps in archetypes with a group as large as this. I should point out that she lacks any sort of gun skill, so that is all your area. Embers does have a good point though that overlaps in 'stealth' is actually a good thing, because then you can send out small groups for stealthy things instead of one person putting their neck out all alone.

A group is only as quiet as their loudest member after all.

Embers, did you consider that I can cast any of my spells on you? Also, you cant really sneak if youve got a meathead tromping at your side. A melee fighter is vulnerable going solo because its so difficult take down multiple opponents. Ever hear of a silent partner? of course you havent. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/silly.gif)

By the way, I dont have any skill groups, only skills. I was actually hoping we would be on the same team.

At which point my skill is superflous, since at that point it isn't her highly focused skill that is doing anything, its another person's magic, and she isn't actually pulling off her specialty. Its fine, I'll just ask that Kerenshara put me on the other team from Trench.

In any case, your powers are off. Combat sense costs .5pp a rating, not .25 Your rating 3 should cost you 1.5 not .75 as listed. You also should look at the ratings of your fake licenses, how many do you have? If they are each rating 3, it would be 300 each for Fire Arms + Concealed Carry of firearms, not to mention a license for your magical gear (Weapon Foci Nodachi is rather obvious so it probably should get a license), and any restricted ware.

Also, remember that PPP gear does not go up to the bod X3 that the rest of armor goes up to as far as encumberance. When wearing all your armor you are at 11/9 or 9/9 for encumberance, that is greater than body x2 for each type, so you'd be taking -2 to Agility and reaction.

That is only a total modified values of 9.5/9. Which technically means no encumbrance penalties (Because it states that for every two points you are above your max, you take a -1 agi penalty, Trench hasn't reached 2 full points yet, and even if you wanted to throw a -1 penalty for the pure fact of being over and then -1 per two points over, you wouldn't have quite reached 10 yet)

I could totally see the argument for a -1 for 9.5 rounding up to 10, and Keren may do the -1 for being over then an extra -1 for every 2 points over, so there could be a -2 involved. Could get better overall protection by keeping the cham suit, upgrading to full FFBA, and throwing on some forearm/shin guards for some 0/+1 protection. That'd give an effective armor of 12/8 with an encumbrance of only 9/7. Still slightly over the 8 max, but depending on how you interpret the encumbrance, that may not be an issue. Could drop it to a half suit giving you 10/7 effective and 8/6.5 encumbrance.

I agree about the licenses. No way to get 500 on licenses unless you have a single rating 5 license or 5 rating 1 licenses, both of which seem odd on a rating 3 SIN. Guess it could be a rating 3 and 2 or 2, 2, 1 or some other similar combination, which once again all seem odd. Specifying what you spent 500 nuyen on might be a good idea.

It's for every 2 points or fraction thereof, according to SR4A p160.

The easiest solution is to simply not count the extra armour if he doesn't want it. Limit it at an acceptable level to ignore encumberance.

Also, Form-Fitting Armour adds half the rating, rounded down. So the shirt is only 1 point for encumberance purposes.

Ah, they (unsurprisingly) changed that in 4A. Always seemed like one of those 'how it was intended' things, but not how it was written. Of course that is somewhat annoying for FFBA because it creates that 1 point that can't be evened out without PPP since virtual all armor has even numbers.

lol. I'm sure, but just to give more options, I'll put my 100 on her having gotten into a wreck/other form of injury of some kind. Sad and depressing, but seems slightly more likely.
