What type of game are you playing and when? Ie. on the boards, IRC, RL? and what time zone?

Sorry loads of questions but I'd hate to join a game that I then found out I can't play in *8->

Take a look at the IC for "A New Beginning".

At least 3 Players are UK based.

I'll leave the other info up to the GM.

Players are UK or the characters? If the characters, I have a really fun english dwarf rigger chick called Lil moe...but I'll give first crack to Callidus since he responded first

There is no set time zone, you can post whenever you want... as long as you check regularley (sorry...poor spelling!!) then there will be frequent posts up.

Its based in the present shadowrun year and the team are just starting out (completed one run to date)

Ah didn't see that it was a board posting game *8-> I'll try and get a character sheet to you either tonight (hopefully although I'll probably be knackered after hockey *8->) or tomorrow. Any preference as to type of rigger? more all the lines of spyey type rather than lots of combat drones.... not that I'd go all the way one way, but nice to know your not going to be waaaay outta place *8->

And thanks Blitz but you shouldn't be so nice where's the runner's killer instinct? *8->

[edit]Had a quick browse of the OOC thread and couldn't see character creation details... prolly being blind though *8->[/edit]

They were on the old board, Callidus...

If I remember correctly it was 125 point or priorities (but not sum-to-ten) with no resources over 20 kay... but that may be changed now - check with the boss...

As for what we're after - again that's really up to the bossman - the rigger we've just lost (admirably played by the highly magnificent GunnerJ, who will be missed) was a sky jockey concept who was ousted from the military and ended up as a glorified wheel-man for the team. If you don't want to sit around waiting for the infil-team to come running, then drone(s) would be appropriate... so you can tag along and possibly offer fire support!

For charecter creation use the priority system.... thats the one I know best and can work with! As for the type of rigger, I generally tend to like a vehicle rigger (because they have plenty of use!) that has a couple of drones up his sleeve so that he can take part in the runs from a distance if he wishes. A classic example of this is while he is waiting in the get away van he sends his doberman drone with a small machine gun mounted in it to join the fun!!

but the kind of rigger you make is up to you! I would just remember that if you specialise them too much its might get in the way of what he can do during the run!! I have found that in the past with my riggers....

Well I put a rough outline last night, mostly drone rigger but with enough driving ability to do the wheel man job..... although I was building him off a million rather than 20k.... If it needs to be that low cash I'll rework it to try and get it in although I'm not entirely sure I can even get a VCR for 20k.... *8-< I'll work on both til I get word on the cash limit *8->

I wasn't specialising too much, although he is mostly vectored thrust and wheeled drone setup, but he should be able to default well to most things even electronic warfare but from a bit of playing with it you have to be stupidly good to succeed in a MIJI attack *8-<

Well I hate to mess you around, but I have a feeling the person playing the teams Rigger has now realised that he's going to be able to play anyway! :P

but just so its not all bad, do you fancy joining the cast as a new member? At the moment we have a Mage, (probably our rigger), a hitwomen (played by me!), a Decker, and a Ganger (who is learning to be a bit more of a streetsam I think!) so if you have or want to play any charecters you feel may fit in then let me know!

S'okay, I'll see if I can dig something up *8-> I guess you don't want a second rigger then.... hohum and I only had to cut about 54k out of my wants to get starting legal *8->

Well the rigger they have is a purely vehicle rigger (used to be a pilot for UCAS I think...) so if you specialised you could be a drone or security rigger....depends on what you think really!!

Well I was going mostly drone rigging with a vehicle but I could easily cut the vehicle down to some less chunky which would also help out the cash *8-> Wasn't entirely certain I could pull of driving a Citymaster around even with the Photo-voltic paint to disguise it as various security companies *8-> Should be fun with two riggers though, and as Ace seems to be wanting to pick up a RCD he could borrow a drone or two to get him into the fight.... heck I can't really pilot all of them..... well not all the time *8->

Oh, thought of another question. Do you mind me swapping gear from one drone to another during character gen? And do you might me doing a bit of minor customisation to the drones.... mostly fitting things like smartlinks etc rather than custom building drones from scratch.....

Ta sheet'll head over soon... hopefully *8->

Im just reading through your charecter sheet, I dont mind you adding things to your drones without actually designing them... but I will insist that if you ever want to swap things around after charecter generation then your going to have to make a build/repair roll for it. I will vary the difficulty according to what you want to swap over, eg. a weopon that you do regularly will be fairly easy... but if its a link up to your remote control network then your going to have it harder, as its not such a common thing to do and it would be hard wired into the drone.
