Group of mine wants me to run a shadowrun campaign but im on a short notice here. I have a few mission ideas and such but I dont like to railroad my players into doing one mission I like to give them the option to turn it down since they will be more of a freelance group. Their overall style is more of a shoot em up if you know what I mean and they consist of one techno, one spell slinger, and two samurai.
So im opening the community to ideas for short 1-2 session style missions. The plot can of course lead to further things and seeing how they don't have a fixer yet and are freelance they can do pretty much anything. Appreciate the help! |

I'm a big fan of B&E to steal the MacGuffin from one corp to another. It gets more fun when you need to steal the MacGuffin and the research data on the MacGuffin from the computers as well.
Courier missions are fun. Either you've got the package and you're trying to get it somewhere, or even more fun is trying to get the package from the couriers. If you want a straight up shoot-out, get hired by a local go-gang as extra muscle is an upcoming gang war...and watch out when the opposing gang gets the same idea. I can come up with these all day... |

My first run was using random chargen, having the group (with 2 allies) take out an Awakened gang in an abandoned church..... They had lots of fun, even if they DID run away screaming from a microwave (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

DocWagon HTR outsourcing: a fun easy way to roll.
High violence, few strings attached. Gang protection money rebellion: an area spends what meager money it has to hire runners to shrug off a Strong armed Gang protection money racket squeezing in on an already poor area. The funding might actual be sourced back to a corp that has other ideas for the area. Local spirits are materializing rampantly and causing havoc! Battle the supernatural while rooting out the source of the disturbance. Many avenues available from Maniacal cults driving spirits to mayhem to secret experiments causing unnatural disturbances to the environment/mana/etc. violent militia rural militia putdown: some yahoos have banded together with gun in hand to fight indians/theMan/elves/rival faction/etc and need to be 'persuaded' to disperse, Runners hired as scapegoat/expendable asset/deniable asset etc Not so Quiet RIOT: Runners hired to turn a peaceful protest into a riot in order to silence protesters / discredit an issue / etc. Few ideas of the top of my head. Hope you can get some use out of these. |
