Fore those checking him out, Dakka'Dakka is a tall, lean, black man with a shaved head and a obvious black metal datajack wired of middle brain use. He is dress in a sports coast, black t-shirt, and slacks, carrying a rather nice briefcase with him. The only other obvious cybernetic modification is his neon blue glow cyber-eyes.

Once Sammy gives his opening spiel and opens the floor for the others to introduce themselves, Dakka speaks up, "Aight, the name is Dakka'Dakka. I'm a rigger like ol' Sam-wise there. I offer my support with my tight driving skills and drone support for whatever task you guys got on hand. I already got a ride for a party of five and some drones ready to go..."

Dakka look each one of the other persons at the table over carefully. He wasn't looking for anything in particular, just doing a little video-recording to save later to feed his network. Looking the lady over a little longer then the rest.

Scorch nodded when Sammy mentioned the locks, and went about opening the connection in AR while the others started talking. He paused to nod, approvingly, when Dakka'Dakka mentioned having a ride with room for five already lined up. "Good to hear. Spent more on taxis in the last two days, than I have in months." He smirked as he went back to work on the lock - but stopped when he noticed that the collective gazes of those gathered were directed at him. Apparently speaking up put him next in line for introductions.

"I... uh... they call me Scorch. I'm sure you'll figure out why soon enough. Hacker, I guess...." Scorch shifted uncomfortably under the weight of all of the attention. "Got other talents, but I don't think they're going to help us here. We... um... I'll let Vamp brief the job, so far. " he then glanced around the room, randomly, looking for someone else to jump in.

As each of the runners entered, Yargo greeted them with a friendly smile and continued to finish his two muffins and coffee. His sat back and listened as Sammy spoke to the group, and also as Dakka'Dakka and Scorch. Now is a good time as any...

"Hi guys and gal, please to meet you. Yargo is my name. I know how to handle to big guns. I prefer the grenade launchers, but its not always about the boom in our job. I have several methods of support at my fingertip. Umm...I enjoy fishing, but don't think you guys care too much about that. However, I do have a boat if we need to get out of New York for a bit. Got it spruced with a few bells and whistles. So, that's about it. I hope my skills can be of service to you."

He takes the final bit of his muffin and looks around the room not sure what to think, and hoping he could help these guys out.

"Oh, one small favor. I left ole' Betsy on my boat, and my bat. Not sure what the job is, but I can't really lug them around discreetly on my bike, so if we are heading out, can we make a stop at the harbor? I do plan on buying a car soon, but I just haven't had the time."

"I'm Sammy's Mistress!" she smiled brightly as she spoke.

As soon as the first person looked at her, she switched the empty headed grin off and winked. ".. of the Arts Arcane. A little conjuring, spectrum of spells, classic basics, invisibility, armor, healing, minor divinations, flying things around. None of that Sukie Redflower blowing up T-Birds with fireballs spells. That I leave to the big strong ones here. I'm high end Awakened, so I also provide the out of body experience. If you want the in and out of my body experience, that's against my rules."

"I'm the Dire Radiant.", she pointed a finger at the elf, "He's the Vamp."

...since there were only two of us left when Scorch mentioned his name

"If Scorch is any good, I'd feel more comfortable jumped into a secure node to discuss details."

Having finished adjusting the lock, a few moments ago, Scorch amused himself by sifting through the various (surely inaccurate) personal data that the new team members provided on their public PANs. His attention was grabbed by someone mentioning his name and he looked up, suddenly. "I.. er... " His eyebrows lowered as he looked with amused indignation across the table. If Scorch is any good... "Actually... that is one of my 'other talents'...." He thought about using his personal commlink, but it wasn't particularly hack-proof and probably couldn't handle a half-dozen open connections at once. In fact, he knew it couldn't, and he didn't have access to most of the non-peripheral nodes in the area. He also didn't want to look inept by asking for an account on somebody else's comm. For all he knew, his inability to decrypt or find hidden nodes was what scared off the other two guys. He figured he might as well put his cards on the table, so to speak. Shaking his head, he tossed his disposable comm onto the table. "This thing's drek, though - at the rate I go through them, I can't invest in good hardware." He held his hand out towards the Dire Radiant, smirking. "I know you probably don't trust me, yet, but..." At this point, his face twitched, uncontrollably. Scorch continued as though he hadn't noticed, "...if you'll take my hand...." He then held his other hand out to the three guys. "... you guys too."

Yargo looked at the others in the room trying to gauge their reaction. Not too sure what he should do, so...

"Umm, not sure why you need my hand, but here you go."

Yargo puts his large, fishing calloused hand on top of Scorch's.

Wow...this is getting weird.

Scorch smiled, and nodded. Seeing that Yargo's large hand easily covered his own, he turned both of their hands over so that the back of his hand faced upwards, and was available for the others to grab.

"Damn, girl, thats pretty tight." Dakka says, commenting on her magical abilities. Then he gives Scorch a rather dubious look about holding hands with him. He shakes his head and puts a hand on something open that isn't being covered by the trolls oversize mitt.

Scorch smiled, pleased that the new teammates were willing to show a little trust. This spoke volumes. "Okay, it is going to take me a second to calibrate to you guys...." He then closed his eyes and concentrated, maintaining physical contact with the team, as his bio-electric field extended discovering new "devices" on his network. The hairs on the arms of the team stood up, slightly as his thoughts - in the form of electric signals racing up and down the limbs - carried unfiltered "hot" simsense directly to their brains.

True to his word, about one second after he closed his eyes, the world went dark for the rest of the team for a moment as a series of jumbled confusing images flashed across all of their senses - layered on top of their normal senses - but it quickly calmed into understandable AR images. An ARO for each person appeared overlayed their physical space, composed of flickering images of their faces and other sensory information - interpreted as a faint scent, a tone of voice, or even the rough callouses of Yargo's hands. Scorch's overlayed icon, has a strange addition. His skin was stripped with black lines which alternate between being reminiscent of veins and of circuitry. These black lines become thicker around his head, and down by his hands, where they seem to drip a dark fluid.

Scorch nods at the team, <So....> His voice seemed to echo slightly in their minds. <We can speak freely, like this.> His icon then shook violently and seemed to de-ress momentarily, as his face twitched, again, in the real world. <But must ask... each of you... to agree to keep this to yourselves....>

Vamp's shoulders tense slightly as the world goes dark, it is surprising, but he is not unfamiliar with the dark. As everything overlays itself in AR, including the new weird AR overlay on Scorch, Vamp raises his eyebrow at the hacker- err, techonmancer? Vamp realizes, not for the first time, how little he knows about his team mate.

Turning his eyes back to the other around the table, Vamp starts 'speaking' to the group, his thoughts easily translating into text and sound for the others in this weird mesh network thing.

<So, as I was saying, the job is to free one Duke Torres from an NYPD armed transport traveling from Roosevelt Island to an interrogation center on 54th. The transport will be moving between 9 PM and 3 AM tonight, so we have a six hour time frame to watch the bridge and get the guy free. But there are some stipulations on the run: we need to make the rescue attempt look like it was performed by a Neo-Anarchist group, we need to turn Duke over to a Johnson who is not the original Jay, but the original Johnson just wants the guy dead, so we make him believe we killed Duke. Also, our original Johnson is an unwitting pawn for the Blood Rose Gang, whom Duke was a member of, and they have his family. If we can get his family and him away from the Roses, there is another check in it for us afterwords. We can split the final take evenly between the five of us, 14,000 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) each for the main gig, and another 4,000 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) each for the Jay's family. Any questions, concerns, comments?>

Scorch waits while Vamp explains the job, adding at the end, <We've located the Johnson's family.> A large map of NYC appears in AR, auto-panning and zooming in towards the address they were given, while several new simsense feeds open up presenting the team with camera-eye views into the building where the mother and child are being held. <... but we think acting now would tip them off that we know about the deceit, and put both the Jay and his family at risk.> He is silent for a moment, and then brings up some images and data from the files they were originally given by the Johnson - including a picture of Duke. <So we have focused on Duke, for the time being. Once he is securely in our hands, we can either negotiate the release of the Johnson, or demand that the bee-are-gees let them go. While it was implied at the meet that they want Duke silenced, for good, we never made any promises other than making sure he did not reach his destination.> He brings up a few images from the meet at the warehouse the night before - all from Scorch-eye view - which show off Captain Black, and the Second Jay. <... however, using him as leverage would be a bluff, since handing Duke back to the pee-dee would cross our second Jay - who also wants Duke intercepted, but who we believe would prefer he lives.> Scorch paused for a second. <Again... this was implied. Duke is of no use to Jay-Two if the bee-are-gees now wants him dead, but they might not if we can somehow recover him, alive. Of course, if they knew anything about Jay-Two, he would, in fact, want Duke dead - which... you know... would make Jay-Two care a lot less about recovering him.>

<It's complicated. I think we'd prefer to distance ourselves from that whole mess, and let Duke sort it out but I wouldn't want either side as an enemy.>

i shall have to study... skinlinked trodes or similar effect

With practiced ease she spat out an analysis into the AR subscription links, So we have a hard extraction commissioned by the Blood Rose Gang through a blackmailed front Johnson, a blackmailed Johnson who is also requesting a hard extraction of his family, and another Johnson who also will or has paid for a hard extraction of the same target as the first Johnson. Since the Blood Rose Gang went to the trouble of blackmailing, they aren't planning to make the payoff, figuring the up front money is enough to get us started, and afterwards it'll be too late for us to hurt them since they have a fall guy. I hope the 14k isn't from anything you expect from the Bloody Rose Gang. You've also lost some of your team already.

I need to know the priorities of the objectives. Personally I suggest you write off the Blood Rose Gang, they are dumb enough not to account for the fact pros might hold the target until they got the balance of the pay, nor that we could track them down if we got ripped off, so they must also be planning on dropping the team at the payoff, and hope we don't figure it out. We might need to choose between the other two. The Blood Rose Gang don't need the Johnson or his family as soon as they hear about any extraction so timing is critical.

I'd actually think about pulling the family out first, the Bloody Rose Gang aren't going to compromise the other op as long as they think we are still on board, which we can accomplish as long as they don't realize it was us springing the family. I just don't think there's time to run it the other way unless we split the team.

Scorch considered, hearing a lot of the same points he had made earlier - maybe switching up the team would work in his favor. <I like it. They're already asking us to brush up on making our extractions look like somebody else's fault. Kind of fitting to handle it that way. Problem is, we've got about 6 hours to get our shit together, and its unclear if we can salvage our original plan.> He brought up three faces, in AR - the Johnson, the ork from the Blood Rose Gang, and the second Johnson, spinning them into a pile, with the second Johnson on top, followed by the first Johnson, followed by the ganger. <Priority wise, I don't think we can afford to fail the original mission. If we're distracted playing hero with the family, and the pee-dee keeps Duke, we'll have a gang and the small army that backs them to ...> Scorch stopped mid-sentence, and the AR hiccupped again. He glanced at Vamp before continuing. <...it'll be a mess, and it'll be our fault for not staying on task.> Mentally, he lifted the image of the second Johnson into the air. <My top priority is giving this guy no reason to think we owe him anything - and definitely, no reason to come looking for payback.> He lifted the second image, the picture of the first Johnson. <That said, I'd like to make sure this guy, and his family, get out of this in one piece. He and Sammy sort of know one another - and this mess isn't his fault. It just seems like the right thing to do.> The final image lifted up to join the others. <This guy, I am least worried about. He tried to pull a fast one on us, probably doesn't intend to honor his deal, and, well, he probably deserves whatever he'd go down for if Duke squeals.> He then put the ganger and the second Johnson's images together, and moved them to one side of the room. <Unfortunately, these two are linked. We'll either prevent Duke from getting where he's going, or we won't.> He then moved the original Johnson's image to the other side of the room, near the camera-feeds of his family. <And if we split focus to save this guy, it becomes more likely that we won't.>

<The big question we tossed around with the other guys was whether or not it was worth it to try to extract him safely, or just blow the transport vehicle to Mars, and be done with it - and hope the two guys backing the job don't mind the sacrifice.> He brought up one more image, of a few crates, and some weaponry. <Which is where Jay-Two's payment comes in. He basically gave us the firepower we'll need to take out the bridge, and the van with it... which was what made me think he might not loose much sleep over Duke, if we 'can't' recover him.> Scorch shrugged, physically, careful to maintain physical contact with his hands. <One we decide that, we can decide if we'd rather run the jobs serially, or in parallel.>

Yargo is a little taken back by the whole experience, but he eventually adjusts to Scorch’s link.

Before adjusting to this new experience Oooh boy, that’s some nice stuff!

Wow. This is some complicated stuff. Maybe I’ve seen too many bad flicks, but the image of blowing the bridge, diving off my boat, break into the van under water, and retrieve Duke keeps coming up in my head. Or, if we don’t care about Duke, we can blow the bridge from my boat and wait a few minutes to see if anyone surfaces, then bang bang! Down with Davy they go. Either case, the Fish in my Pocket is protected with armor and chameleon coating. We should be safe.

Do we know why these two Jay’s want Duke?

Scorch thought about the question, glancing at Vamp before proceeding carefully. <The gang thinks he's one of there's - with enough information that if the pee-dee makes him talk, they'll be in big trouble. Jay-two also thinks he's one of his - undercover in the gang, and also that he has enough information that if he talks, they'll be in trouble too. It's not clear who would be in more trouble, or how loyal Duke is to either group.> Scorch paused a moment, <Neither boss seems to have much faith that he'll keep his mouth shut, though.>

AR/VR was a second home to Dakka, just the transition to it was different from what he was use to. Scorch request not to tell anybody bout what happen was turning the question mark into a big exclamation mark. Oh well, truth be told Scorch was more a kindred spirit in Dakka mind. He listen to the talk and copied the picture files as they came up. His icon was the uniform of a World War II pilot, complete with an added flutter scarf, and unit patches for the Tuskegee unit.

<Okay, so we got one package that two jay's want; probably both want him dead as they didn't ask for the boy to come back to them in one piece. I know two playa's in this, the Rose and the En-Yee five-o, whose the other guys? Do we know who they are?>

Thinks again about how they are going to crack the convoy and pull off a rescue when it was over. The troll comes up with a rather interesting plan, <Heh, more an likely that man in the truck is going to geek before we get to him, but it sure saves us a hella lot of effort then tryin' to shoot it out with the five-O. I'm down with that...>

Of course, he'll be in the area providing drone support when bridge comes down. If the cops do their regular routine their is little chance of them getting any civilians in the exchange.

<Da problem I see here is how we goin' to get him out once the truck is water?>

Scorch hesitated a moment before answering - during which the AROs darkened slightly, and the vein-like circuitry on his hands moved and reached up the arms of the other teammates as the unfiltered simsense feed surged with emotion. <Not definitively... but I did a little digging on jay-two after the meet.> New AROs leaped into the (now thickly crowded) AR space, displaying several news feeds with the same two men in them - several in Lone Star uniforms. <They appear to be Lone Star special forces... and if what they said was true... they have been using Duke to manipulate the bee-are-gees... probably to keep the en-why-pee-dee in check. From what I could dig up about the guy, he is a be-ay with little regard for the lives of people who get caught up in his ops.> He mentally tossed the news feeds over by the face of Jay-Two and Captain Black. <Whatever the Star is planning, we don't want to be caught in the crossfire when the pee-dee finds out about it - and we don't want to be the reason this guy's mission gets blown. As it is, I think we're already loose ends to this guy.>

<As for the truck - its gonna be a tough nut to crack - especially if we don't want to hurt anyone inside. If I can get close to it, I might be able to connect to it and open the doors, but probably only if the thing is running offline... cause then their defenses might be down. If they're on the Matrix, and patched into atch-que, they'll be running silent with top-notch encryption, and thats not something we can deal with in the timeframe we'll have.> He glanced at Dakka'Dakka. <Well, I can't, anyway. It'll almost certainly be rigged... but I'm not worried about that. I can handle myself in cybercombat. Its not pretty, though.>

<One last thing. We got a little intel about the convoy. There is no mention of magical support - I dunno if that's good news, or if it means its top-secret. There is also a pursuit car, and two motorcycles with six cops, total - no names. So... that's something we need to keep in mind. Even if we disable the van, we may have four more angry cops nearby, that we didn't take out, calling in backup and looking to take down anyone they can spot... and, of course... we need them to spot something that makes this look like a Neo-Anarch job.>

Dakka frowns when his comlink reads 'error' when he attempts to down load the vid files. Being in an apparent meat nod was a lot different from being in something normal.

<Dayum. We're dealing with da Star too.> Dakka vaguely tried to hide the consternation at that news bit. <Not just da Star but their special ops unit and this white boy looks like he's into all sorts of nasty stuff.>

The extra AR's from his 'link interacting with Scorch were giving his brain a tingle so he swipes them away with his free hand to clear them from sight.

this will be fun

We need to put together a plan for a hard extraction on Roosevelt Island bridge or thereabouts, a plan for an assasination at the delivery point should we fail or abort the hard extraction, a plan for a prior extraction of the Johnson's family, a plan for the prior extraction of the Johnson, a plan for the hard extraction of the Johnson's family and the Johnson post or simultaneous to the op, a plan for stashing the target, and the final delivery. We're dealing with two Johnsons, a fixer, two A+ rated security corps, a terrorist classified street gang, we've never worked together or met before now, and ...

we have 6 hours

As the Dire Radiant start explaining the plans, Yargo’s begins to think of a time he’s ran into something with as many possible outcomes as this run.

Oh boy! That’s a lot of plans. Coming from the outside, as only you Yargo looks at Scorch and Vamp have had conversations with the Johnsons, what is your opinion and blowing the bridge and the van? How do you think they'll react? Also, maybe I missed this, but is Jay-1 being held captive? I thought it was just his family.

As far as the Jay-2, what was he offering for gear? Was his plan to set explosives, or to blow it from afar?

Man, did I walk into a cluster!

<Johnson Two gave us 2 Ares Alphas, 2 M79b1 LAW, 1 Arbalest II Maw with 4 Anti Vehicle Rockets, 10 Clips of explosive ammo for the Ares, 5 Flash bang grenades, 5 thermal smoke grenades, and 20 Capsule rounds loaded with DMSO and Narcojet. That is enough to do either a nonlethal extraction, or a let's blow them all to hell extraction. I personally think that we should try to get Duke out alive, it should make Johnson Two more pleased that his man didn't die, especially if his man is placed back in as an informant within the Roses. Then, we can also use Duke as a negotiating piece, if we need to, to get Johnson One's family out, if we don't extract them ourselves. The hard part is going to be freeing Duke. I think one idea could be an ambush on the bridge, with one or two of us there in person, hidden. We blow out part of the bridge, hopefully taking out the front running bikes in the process, and stopping the van. The two of us up there neutralize any remaining PD, with the help of any drone or magical support we can get. Then we get the van open, grab Duke, and dive off the bridge, down to Yargo's waiting get away boat. It should take, at most, a minute or two once things get started, and then we will be out of there and ghosts on the water.>

Looking towards Yargo, Scorch adds, <... and to answer your other question, we don't know whether they are holding Jay-One somewhere, or not, but I didn't see him with his family in the last day or so. They probably won't kill him, at least not until they're sure they won't need him to talk to us again - either because they hear Duke is dead, or because they hear we figured out their ruse. If we're going to extract the family first - and I like that idea - we just have to make sure they don't think Vamp or I were involved. I can stay digital, but Vamp should probably just sit that one out.>

<Then, at the bridge, I think we're going to want Yargo manning his get-away boat - although Dakka might have an edge there - and I assume Yargo would be the best guy to use our new toys. We'll probably want Dee-Are ghosting around, in case there is magical support, either keeping her meat safe at home, or on the boat. Dakka can provide drone support, maybe a little ee-double-you and maybe taking the helm during the chase-scene - he should stash his meat somewhere safe, too. Vamp will probably want to be near the bridge, in range to finish off anyone the explosives don't neutralize - with dee-ess-em-oh, maybe. I would be happy to man a spare drone, or be available near the bridge for a last-minute van-hacking, but I'm not thrilled about the idea of diving into the river - or being nearby when you guys fire explosives at it.> Scorch smirks.

Yargo is nodding his head in agreement to what both Vamp and Scorch are saying.

I like the way you guys think. You needed our help, so I know you won't turn you back on us. Therefore, I agree with Scorch. Dakka, you are free to pilot the Fish in my Pocket. Just don't sink it. Its...umm...its also my home." Yargo looks at the others around the table. He doesn't want to sound too motherly, but he's grown quite attached to his little home and the privacy and peace it brings to a crazy life of a shadowrunner.

"Like I said, its pretty well fortified with armor, got a chemeleon coat on it, and another little surprise is the ram plate I put on the front of it. Now, about the bridge. The gear Jay 2 is providing is nice, but it could very well slow me down. Back at my boat, I have a modified Enfield GL-67 Grenade Launcher. Its a 20 round, semi-automatic, grenade launcher with an internal smartgun system, an airburst link, and an Ammo Skip System; my favorite. Right now I'm thinking of taking one shot with the rocket launcher to the front group, as Vamp was thinking, and then switching to ole Betsy. With her, I can use an assortment of gas grenades with Breathtaker, white phosphorus grenades, and smoke grenades, and hopefully keep the PD in back at bay. I can also load up with some flash bang, fragmentation, or high explosive grenades. In case 20 grenades won't be enough, I also have a ArmTech MGL-6 which I can load with a few more grenades."

Yargo's looks at the other runners

"So that is what I have to offer you guys. Scorch, Vamp, this is your show. If you want to grab the family first, I'm down with that. Do you know how many family members are being held, and how many are holding them hostage?"
