OK folks - here's your chance to get out of the cold!!!

Megacon in Orlando FL (www.megaconvention.com) is running Feb 25-27, 2005.

yes, there's other gaming there, and lots of other stuff too - like a smaller DragonCon...but we really only care about the SR Missions stuff, right???

ok, then, here is the paydata:

Shadowrun Missions is the official "living" campaign setting for FanPro's Shadowrun 3rd Edition role playing game. Players must generate a character prior to their first event. If a player does not have a character before the convention, FanPro Commandos will, time permitting, assist in character creation. Pregenerated characters will also be available for those that wish to jump right into the action.

Shadowrun Missions SRM00-03 - FORCEd Recon
The ancient ninja were more than assassins; they were also experts in spying and intel gathering. A new research facility has just been built, and someone wants to get as much paydata on their operations in case future incursions are necessary. Become the modern ninja and name your pay!
Runs: Slot 5 (Friday 2 PM) and Slot 10 (Sunday 9 AM)

Shadowrun Missions SRM00-99 - Pick a Demo
Pick one of several demonstration games of Shadowrun.
Runs: Slot 6 (Friday 7 PM)

Shadowrun Missions SRM00-04 - A Fork in Fate's Path
A fixer presents you with the chance of a lifetime - easy job, great pay. Sounds too good to be true? OK, how about a job with unknown risks, low pay, but the chance to help someone who's in trouble? Not everything is as it seems, but you're probably fragged either way, chummer...you decide your fate!
Runs: Slot 6 (Friday, 7 PM)

Shadowrun Missions SRM01-03 - Harvest Time
The members of an urban tribe are brutally murdered and left for dead. Who could do such a thing? Vampires, ghouls, gangs, or just some crazed lunatic? Nope, a greedy corporation that needs fresh organs! Help recover the evidence before it is destroyed and stop them!
Runs: Slot 8 (Saturday, 2 PM) and Slot 11 (Sunday 2 PM)

Shadowrun Missions SRM01-04 - The Gambler
Premiere Event  . An opportunity for a payday! Your fixer lets you know that a client is looking for a datasteal - and he's already done some legwork! Get in, get the paydata, and get out, all without leaving a trace or a trail of destruction. Know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em.
Runs: Slot 9 (Saturday 7 PM)

We are also going to have an HQ for helping people with character creation, answering questions, teaching basic combat/skills, and providing metagaming opportunities during the con as well...

Oh, and you get a chance to have ME as a GM!! :wobble:

CARP will be running the first two ShadowRun Missions (Mission Briefing and Demolition Run) at our February Game Day. Due to scheduling, we may only run one of them (Mission Briefing, probably) Visit The CARP homepage for details and to register as soon as the Feburary data comes up, probably sometime in the first week of Feburary.

CARP (Capital Area Role Players) is based out of Lansing, Michigan.

ACK! We were told there would be no Shadowrun Missions at BASHCon. Oh well. CARP will be running SRM00-01, Mission Briefing, on Sunday Feb 27, at Fortress Comics and Games, as part of the CARP Game Day. See my above post for the website. Registration is handled via www.warhorn.net, but you can go through the registration link on the CARP page to it. Show up, folks, we've got a little room left.

I just wanted to poke my head in and say "hi". (and wave to Donner and Timber Wolf). Our club, (CARP) is always looking for new campaigns to entertain our players -- and more players for our campaigns!

We've only got three people signed up for Mission Briefing on Sunday Feb 27 (I didn't know there was *anything* but Living Greyhawk at Bashcon), and I'm hoping we can get a couple more.

Location: Fortress Games, 425 Albert, East Lansing, MI 48823 Phone: (517) 333-0435
Date/Time: Noon-5pm, Feb 27, 2005

Now... I just need to make a character!

Good to see you all here, and I hope I'll be able to sit at one of your tables, John. Ron's praise is very high indeed!

ORIGINS / GENCON ALERT!!!

I have been informed by the Convention Coordinator for FanPro that all Shadowrun events, including SR Missions, but excluding the tournament, will be ONE TABLE EACH EVENT!!!

If you are planning on attending Origins (and Gencon), I suggest you immediately register onsite and grab a seat to ensure you get one.

I have given my input on this matter and was overruled.

If you want to ensure you play any SR Missions events at Origins, register now and plan the rest of your schedule accordingly. Six seats are going to go fast...

Looking for a GM or Commando to run Shadowrun Missions, online would be prefered unless you happen to be in Central Florida ( Lake county) in which case normal PnP would probly work out better. I had hoped to attend Megacon but it conflicts with a wedding i'm supposed to attend. Damn the luck. I have played off and on since first edition so, i'm not a complete newb to the game.

Bitrunner's keeping me running! (Bad Pun intended) I've got another event to schedule, this one up in the Michigan area once more.

I've been asked to run an event at Foundation on Saturday April 2nd. So, I'll be running
SRM01-01 Double Cross from 2-6PM.

I plan on arriving at the con in the morning to do some "Introduction to Shadowrun" stuff, and I'll be available to help with any character or metagame questions at that time.

I'd be interested in online E.O.T.L.F. maybe even a ride to seminole or orange county...i have school and family commitments so, unfortunately i would never be able to commit to a weekly game out of my area. And that's the bummer of it.

Not into running online, but I live in Lakeland (hour away), and could be bribed w/ Papa Johns to travel to Lake County to run: scheduling permitting.

Lakeland you say I lived there for about 10 years.

As to papa's don't know about that but in the past due to my lack of transportation I have offered my cooking services.

Which if we were to do something say once a month I'd have no problem provideing the food.

As to SRM's we could even do them from time to time it would be great if we can make it public.

The local Denny's here in town has a room that can be closed off maybe I can set something up with the management do it on a slow night it makes them business and food and drinks (hehe free refills) are an order away.

Just a thought

Once a month I can't do. I have a LOT of hobbies and soon to have 2 jobs. Also, I'm only interested in runnign SRM mods due to the lack of time I have. And... I'm not crazy about playing ShadowRun in a public place: I try to hide some of my geekier hobbies. I don't wear my Sun Microsystems polo out very often either. But, if you need a GM for some SRM mods in this area, let me know in advance, and I'll see what I can do.

Ahh but the thing is if you want credit for running SRM's it has to be public and advertised tis the rules ya know.

Add to that i'd like to GM them so I can get the credit I am one of the people here who likes the idea of the commando program.

As to once a month that is flexable but it would need to be I would think at least every other month so I and others can run 6 a year.

yes, Commandos get credit for running SRM events in a public venue - that doesn't mean, however, that you have to run them for credit...

also, you don't have to be a Commando to run SRM events - this seems to be an ongoing common misconception.

Maybe SaintHax wishes to run SRM events because he enjoys them and the fact that he doesn't have to come up with stuff on his own (not that he couldn't, but he did mention a time constraint) - he's not a Commando, and he's not doing them for credit - he likes the game, the campaign, and wants to see both of them prosper...the only question is to why SaintHax feels he's hiding the fact that he's a geek - i would think it's pretty evident... :D

Hey Bit I have no problem just running them either I have played most of them I was just hopeing to get some people into the game and do it in public area so if someone wanted to run for credit they could that is all.

Now the offer still stands if SaintHax wants to just run and others are willing to come to my place I will be a good host and offer food and drink.

Either way I just want to play your welcome to come too if you can make it oh and put up with me lol.

For those that wish to know I should have no problem hosting 4 to 8 people heck I'll go buy a nice new table you want rectangle or circle?

Have a good size living room too people can just sit and relax on the floor if that is what everyone wants to do the place is flexable and I aim to please seeing people would have to come to me.

Question on the Origins gaming schedule.

There is a running of A Dark & Stormy Night (SRM00-05) listed as going off Sunday at Noon. Is this supposed to mean actually midnight Saturday going to whenever AM Sunday?

I ask because they had the same thing happen last year.
