I'm not sure they even play this at strip clubs, but is always the first song that pops in my head when somebody mentions strippers.

Comedy DJ Assault option.

Most awesome thing I've ever seen a stripper dance to was Dress Rehearsal for Reproduction by God Lives Underwater. Mind. Blown.

I always wanted to see a goth girl do a striptease done to Rob Zombie's "Living Dead Girl". Its got a very "bump'n'grind" beat, intentionally.

Seen it.

The other two songs in her set were My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult's "Sex on Wheels" and Genitorturers "House of Shame"

LINKS MAY BE NSFW! Mainly the Genitorturers one, it may damage some peoples delicate sensibilities. I don't think the TKK one will damage anything other than your eyes.

Most amazing strip tease I ever saw was one done to Phantom of the Opera. Yes, I am totally serious and it was awesome, she had a phantom of the opera mask and ... well, it was cool, alright? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Kidney Thieves: most of their songs should fit in a cyberpunk strip club.

fully possible to save the flv after a stream using the right software or techniques.

after that i suspect it would not be hard to disassemble the flv and extract the audio track, but i am unsure about its bitrate and such.

I find that almost any song from CombiChrist fits well into many dystopian futuristic settings. Whether it be bars, night clubs, or strip clubs. A simple search should remedy any curiosity regarding this band and its style.

This is the only exception to what I am about to post:

What stripper in her right mind is going to do a pole dance to 70 year old music? How many exotic dancers do you guys think are going to be taking their clothes off to Glenn Miller tonight?

Depends entirely on which Glenn Miller tune. And it isn't up to the dancer... it's the bar that will choose music that will get guys buying booze (or rather veto music that doesn't).

Exactly. The golden oldies aren't likely to draw in the kind of crowd that a strip club will play. Particularly not the kind of strip club that people attend to plan criminal activities.

With that in mind, I would say to seek out music with two themes: Generic, and free from lyrics.

Don't go for name brand music that the whole group has not only heard but probably gotten sick of hearing.

You don't need lyrics. You're the one talking.

Someone mentioned Nine Inch Nails and - as much as I hate to suggest there is anything of value about that group - they did release a free set of music a couple of years back. It may still even be free now.

Surf around places like acidplanet, mp3.com, or through the creative commons for the kind of music you're looking for. Yes, you'll probably dig up garbage. Turn your radio on to the top 40 station for fifteen minutes and you'll hear just as much garbage. Now imagine further decades of this musical de-evolution. This way you get free music that won't leave your players wondering why the stripper is dancing to the same song that great-grandma rocked out to at her prom.

In the U.S., it's almost always the dancer on the main stage that get's to pick. There's exceptions, like Tampa's Mons Venus that has such a party scene environment that there really is no main dancer-- in which case it's the DJ.

Although yes, StarDrifter my runners are going to a seedy dive of a strip bar, it still is very possible to do a great strip tease to golden oldies.

My case in point is Dita von Teese - who is one of my favourite artists.
