That would take decades...
But I guese the fallout would take even longe, your right, sealing the city would probibly be your best bet.

Hasn't everyone seen 28 Days Later? 28 Weeks Later? Dawn of the dead?

Quarantining NEVER works. Ever.

I second the notion of using a non-core city. Pick a random city in the midwest or something.

That would be a good run... Corp X is weaponizing the infection; syptoms /transmission vector of the cold, increased aggression (28 Days/Weeks Later (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ), and a turn around time of 5 days (think the current is 10 if memory serves correct); and some eco group wants the runners to "expose" the corp for whats its doing.

You could contaminate the water supply. By the time the first symptoms start to show there would be a huge out break. Then start making very public announcements that you WILL blow up the med centers once people start showing up. Less work at the beginning; be cheaper to as your not wasteing drones (wouldn't you keep an eye on a drone crop dusting downtown) since they'll need to be ditched.

Edit: for added drone comment and spelling.... Yay for blackberry post

I don't know about contaminating the water supply. Don't get me wrong, it would work, but... Does anyone else remember the SR novel with the DWWM (Department of Waste Water Management) tactical team slaughtering threats to the water supply in the underground tunnels? What was the name of that book? It had the Raccoon shaman named Bandit, iirc. "Who Hunts the Hunter" maybe? If not it was definitely connected to that book through the infected nut job doctor and his life-sucking servants, you know, the ones who drove the ambulance?

You might be right, but its similar to a big shiny red button or dating psychogirls, you know it will turn out bad but you just gotta try.
