Spell Manager, D&D 3.5 Options

I was wondering I anyone knew of a decent spell manager program compatible with the spell points system in 3.5. I've seen two or three but they were either part of some huge other program or didn't really work.

Barring any programs, does anyone know of any good ways to keep track of spells?

If it matters, Im playing a Wizard and going for maximum variety with spells. Our GM is using the spell points system out of Unearthed Arcana rather than spells per day.

Ouch, I feel your pain.
The spell point system isnt really adapted much for the spells in DnD.
Anyway, I've been looking for one myself, but for different reasons. What kind of manager are you looking for?

Maybe a database where you can enter and tag spells yourself that will keep track of your mana pool and do some basic calculations for you

The lists are MANY pages long from several different books.

Organization is a problem for me so I try to use help wherever I can find it.

Yeah I feel your pain too, without the awesome spell lists for 3.5 from Ema's character sheets it hurts to play spellcasters. To be fair, Heroforge might help you a bit with the special SpellForge layout.

I tried that and I found it bewilderingly complicated. It also didnt work very well on my laptop.

Is there any database programs or something similar that would allow the input and filing of custom data?

Two things on that, one Boccob's Blessed Book or simply Blessed Book in the SRD.
Followed by the Craft Homunculi Feat to make a Dedicated Wright. Suddenly you have ALL the time in the world to scribe spells. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

I'd hate to say it but you may just have to resort to two methods, pencil and paper or a homemade spreadsheet.
If anyone does have any other suggestions though I'd LOVE to know. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/question.gif)

Depends on downtime, but yeah, having a Homunculi do all your magic item creation gives you plenty of time to copy spells, though you still need the resources to buy the spell and then to write it in your book (Remember, spellbooks are 100 GP a page, spells require level pages to write or something like that, and require some 25GP a level in ink to write it out, and of course buying the spell is 25 x spell level x caster level)

These are the methods I went with. I had a small notebook that I used as a spellbook. It had the spell name, book and page number, a really quick one sentence blurb on what it did, and expensive material components. Also had small notes for spells that didn't have Verbal or Somatic components or stuff like that so I knew quickly if I could cast them silenced or bound or anything.

Only time I had trouble was when I became a Mage of the Arcane Order and literally had access to every spell in existence at a whim. Then I just pulled out my four favorite books of spells and read the section that had the spells sorted out by caster type and level.

Now I clearly need to see if I can recover, scan and upload that one off of Ema's Generic Spellcaster list. Now THAT was the bomb when our DM foolishly stated spells didn't have xp costs and I was playing a sorcerer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smokin.gif) Oh the flexibility was mind boggling!

Now does anyone know how flexible and inclusive the spell lists in the Hero Lab app are?
Which books are already in there?
Can I add spells from other sources I own that aren't?
And importantly, is the program as a whole awesome?
