It'll be interesting to see exactly how it's controlled. It says there's an integrated wifi chip, which presumably means there must be some form of control mechanism you have to carry elsewhere, like a mini keyboard or somesuch. So it's definitely a giant leap forward, but until someone can create a real, working DNI these things are always going to be a little clumsy to actually control, even if the hand itself has incredibly precision.

Agreed, but with the types of neural mapping items that are starting to be produced I don't believe that we are that far off for a true DNI system. I think we could get there in 5-10 years.

Things like this are usually wired to another part of your body. For an artificial hand, it would usually be your chest muscles on that side. So, they'd put something in you to see when the chest nerves are firing and then those would trigger the hand.
