Can adepts have a tradition? The initial threshold for forming a magical group is equal to the number of traditions involved. In my group we have a hermetic magician and a buddhist magician and an adept looking to form a group eventually. Not sure if the adept is allowed to be a tradition

Adepts have paths, so they count as traditions.

And unless he's got like 9+ dice to the arcana check he's not helping (in the case of this shaman/hermetic/adept group, he'd need more like 15 dice, due to the additional penalties). The group formation threshold increases per each member.
