It's the goddamn Batman, and it's awesome. In the immortal words of Tycho, what the fuck else do you want?!

I have to cross-quote from another forum on this because I could never put my opinion about this game in words better than this (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

QUOTE
This game is not for everybody.

Somewhere, there is a guy who, due to exposure to dangerous chemicals as a child, is allergic to awesome.
This game is not for him.

Finished the campaign. The last fight was oddly anticlimactic, but other than that, the game is made of win.

Batman:AA was awesome although it had some rough patches, the Croc fight was a bit of a letdown as was the last one. While i'm normally not a completionist the spirit of arkham sidequest was interesting and felt very in place for the batman universe. The Riddler stuff was neat and all the shoutouts to the various supporting batman characters that didn't make the game was cool.

Prototype also covered in that comic was a truely awesome game even if it's story had quite a few holes and it's greatest detraction was it was a bit of a reskinned hulk game. Now considering that game was Hulk ultimate destruction that's not much in the way of points off for me.

Batman: AA was a truly fantastic piece of video gaming. Terrific graphics, amazing voice acting, great visuals throughout, as moody as a Batman game needed to be, and with a great blending of stealth and action elements. I could've lived with less game-y boss fights, but that's life -- all in all it's genuinely one of (in my opinion) the best-crafted video games ever.

I agree, I was hoping for a better fight at the end. But sneaking around and hanging bad guys upside down from a gargoyle, hilarious!

You didn't like Croc? true, the end was a little too simple, but while I was sneaking around his lair, I was scared shitless! Of course, it was midnight, with no lights on, I was hopped up on caffeine and I had the surround sound turned on....loud....I suppose Hello Kitty might scare you then too....

On another note, did anyone notice that the baterangs can slice through heavy duty cables? So they're probably very sharp, and yet he throws them at the badguys and expects them NOT to die? The number of times I have thrown a baterang into the back of a guys head and only knocked him out....hmm...

Actually, you're not the first one to notice that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

He has missile mastery. It lets you use whatever part of what you are throwing to determine physical or stun. Clearly batman is a Phys Ad.

I always figured that one wing of the Batarang was really sharp for cutting wires, and one end was blunted for causing concussions. And he's just so badass that he always throws them exactly how he needs to get the result he wants.

Also, people who say Batman doesn't have a super power, I say to you: He does have one, its having exactly the right gadget at the right time and being able to fit into an excruciatingly tiny utility belt along with every other gadget he has... Trans Dimensional pockets! kind of like a super cool "Bag of Holding"....lets see superman do that!

Wait...now superman WILL do that, just cuz he's superman....pulling powers put of his ass just like batman pulls gadgets out of his!
