Hey all, had a player in a one on one game ask me a question about possessed drones and decided to ask you all what you thought.

Basically, could a possession spirit simply just posses a prepared drone? If it can do what the drone can normally do (Drive, shoot etc) it could work passably, aslong as it didnt use any softs. This means that it couldn't precisely target anything, but since it can see astrally, couldnt it simply position the gun at an angle to shoot at the aura of the target, and therefor the target?

Or what about a security turret, if the gun was on a swivel, couldn't the spirit astrally target the opposition and move 'itself' to shoot it since the physical action of sliding on the swivel is less complicated than firing the gun part?

His character idea is a techno-mage, specializing in electrical attacks, illusions, and the like.

Astral Sight can be used to target as normal, subject to certain penalties (which may not apply to Dual-Natured).

Spirits in possession can use any parts that aren't too technological.

Think of it in just the same way as possession of a living vessel. The pilot is locked out and the spirit has full access to the body but not the brain.
