I tried to start a game and it faded like like a cheap t-shirt. so I'm trying a new Idea, Post or die. the premise is, I set a number of posts per week, I think two (we all have lives). If seven days pass from your second to last post, your character is met with a dramatic and untimely death. I figure recruitment will run long, as well as the reserve list. The story might suffer, but It will probably be comical as well, If I have any takers, step right up. I think I'll keep it to 4-6 active players, we'll see how it goes
Edit: New Rules! +10 points for contacts!! OOC comments will not count(the current countdowns are for practice)!! EDIT: [days remaining]Player Roster(so far): [0]Martin_D-"Heka"-Full mage [5]Dr.Z-"Lefty"-phys ad combat monster [1]pbangarth-"Professor"- archaeologist (adept) [3]Majhra-Otto-cyber mage [2]Saint Sithney-Oswald-techie/Rigger [5]Ellipsis-"Caper"-Thief/Infiltration Specialist Reserve Players: [0]Crizh-?- explosives guy? Jaid Dumori Ezeckial Daloof Abschalten Noonesshowmonkey GM reserves: Majhra Martin_D |

You may have noticed, but once there was a hint of an online game, I made some characters. Ok, a lot of characters. And then made them fight. EDIT: I always ask my GM the same question: On a scale from 1 to 100, with 1 being shoving spoons into a jury-rigged shotgun to murder your dealer to get more BTLs, and 100 is a vat-grown super assassin, where should we fall? I've stopped making characters(online). I started putting the same ones in all the games that start up. then the game dies, and the character is open for a new game. But hey, if your character dies, you can get the next one on the reserve list (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I was thinking, if I fail to post twice in a week, someone could totally take over and I'll get on the GM reserve list (we totaly need a GM reserve list) |

I'm in. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Lemme know when you want characters!
Mind if I just use Scar? I finished him for that other gaming thread and it went nowhere, and I'd like to use him... |

Sure, just repost him here (I'm lazy) EDIT: I'm gonna let recruitment go for a while to get some extra people(I think it will probably stay open too, even after we start) |

haha, for some reason the idea of the GM dying after a week of inactivity makes me giggle like a schoolgirl. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wobble.gif)

Might help prevent GM burnout if several folk watch over that as well... And before I think of any concepts, I'd like an answer to DrZaius' question too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

Dennis Rend, a.k.a. "Scar"
Concept: Troll Organlegger/Muscle/Interrogator Appearance: He's an enormous, hulking beast of a troll, and ugly even by trog standards. His face is a mass of old, twisted scar tissue. His prominent tusks jut out obtrusively and give him a brutish appearance even compared to others of his kind. His horns curve backwards off the top of his head and behind his skull. His appearance is typically unkempt and dirty, wearing ragged vending machine flats that have since started to biodegrade. Background [ Spoiler ] Sheet [ Spoiler ] |

I'd also like a response to DrZaius' question. If I feel like Scar needs tweaked based on that response I'll do so, though I think he works pretty well as-is now for the character concept I wanted to play.

Count me in. I have several characters ready to go. I'm travelling across Canada next week and it could be fun to scramble for a hotel with internet that works just to keep my PC alive! Though, now that I think about it, I suspect you may not actually get started that soon.
Is there anything you don't want in your game... possession, TMs, pixie punchers of doom? |

I think with the spontaneous combustion of characters or random fireballs or what not, This is going to be kind of a pink mohawk setting.... so *gulp* Bring it on. (Don't expect me to be super knowledgeable on those though).
As for Dr Z's qeustion...I don't see why a super assassin wouldnt enjoy shotgun spoons as much as the next guy. I'm usually a champion of low powered and gritty games. But this game goes to 11. (If you don't get that reference, you have homework to do) EDIT: Clear answer, I'm hoping for 65, but 100 is fine |

Entertaining (extra so with after a GM swap!) idea. Pink mohawks on a GM level appeals to my sensabilities.
As it's been way too many years for me, so no like the present to get back on the horse, so to speak. Count me in for both rosters. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Hmmm... I'd tentatively like to get in on this one. It sounds very interesting (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
and best part is, if for some reason i get horribly busy (2 posts a week doesn't sound *too* hard to keep up with), i get to add to the game with a comical death... it's like taking the bloody mess quality in fallout 2 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Oh put me up on the reserve GM list too.
EDIT: But not near the top of the list. I want to see how this goes before I GM, I'm terrified of sucking hard and being laughed off of DS. |

...I love this idea, please put me on your reserve list and I'll get a char kicking as soon as I have an idea where and when. It'd be funny if death himself became an npc doling out inactive justice...

OK Red-Rom. Here's my concept so far: spoiled rich-kid corp brat with the Talent who ended up becoming a Black magician (as in the tradition). He runs the shadows because he's jaded; Futurama's Hedonism-Bot via Anton LaVey.

EDIT: AS I think about this idae more, should OOC posts count? Example 1: I'm waiting on Strawberry switchblade to kick open the door Example 2: Hey guys, I'm real busy this week, I'll post something tomorrow. Any thoughts? |
