It's the African ass-kicker vs. the Chinese superspy!
As we all know from shadowtak these two ladies really don't like each other. Both are given the job of destroying their most hated rival. That's right, they are each getting paid to knock off the other, each hired at the same time by those wacky media people in L.A., the entire shebang to be viewed on P2.0! |

I'll freely admit that I'm more of a Mamba fan. She's a butt-kicker and I love that! As rule # 2 clearly states; there is nothing that cannot be solved with swift and brutal violence!
Now, I know Ma'fan is better at sneakery and could probably take out Mamba with a sniper shot but, if they could duel 1000 times I think that, in the end, it comes down to a brawl and Mamba has the edge there! |

I had to vote for Black Mamba. But I may be biased since she was one of my contributions to the Jackpoint membership. If I recall right (and this is going way back into fuzzy memory territory), Ma'fan was originally Jon Szeto's idea. I think I started the Black Mamba/Ma'fan rivalry in Runner Havens, though I vaguely remember some early sparring between them that may not have made it into print anywhere.
AH is far better than I am at chronicling the depths of freelancer trivia. |

I mean, I guess I had the impression that it wasn't as much that they hated each other as that they enjoyed trolling each other on Jackpoint. I was thinking they might actually be friendly enough to do that. Did anybody else interpret the teasing this way?

I'm a Mamba fan mostly because of the short intro fiction at the beginning of the Lagos entry for Feral Cities. Ass-kickery at it's finest! I appreciate a good body count. Ma'fan would shy away from direct confrontation where I think Mamba relishes it!

I proofed Jen's draft of her short story in Spells & Chrome where Black Mamba kicks ass on the Dark Continent, and I suggested that bit with the spur and the gun, so I'm voting for Black Mamba.
