Hi! I'm Mike, and I enjoy long, moonlit walks on the beach and cuddling. Wait, crap, wrong forum.
I've either played or GM'ed every edition of SR since I started back in '93, and since GM duties of my local group are finding their way back to me, I've picked-up the 20th Ann. Ed. (nice book by the way, the art is much improved) and am hard at work inventing plot-hooks. |

Seriously look into getting a copy of the Sixth World Almanac when it hits print, i picked mine up at Gencon and after reading it I have so many plot hooks I picked up on. I love that book. |

Hi,
My name is Johnny. I'm a shadowrun junkie. My last GM commited Seppuku a few year ago. I no longer wish the power (and responsibility) of being an evil GM and am looking for a group of meat people (online is a bit too geeky for me). I want to kill goons, drive crazy vehicles, have a free spirit girlfriend and bang prostitutes (in a free spirit orgy)....with Viagra 2070. Yallah, I am not a robot! PS A MAP! FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY!!! A MAP!!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOOO Domo arigato for unlocking me. This post has been edited by Shadow Prophet: Oct 7 2010, 04:38 PM |

I am a spambot. Stuxnet is my dull-witted older brother. I bide my time. You cannot stop me.

Hello all,
I'm Galen. I'm new to Dumpshock, but I've been gaming for 28 years. Past few have included PbP. Trying to get off of probation. Galen |

Hello! I'm fairly new to Shadowrun. Played a decker in an online email-based (then eventually forum-based game) for the past two years. GM kinda dropped off the face of the planet...pretty sure he got a new job and it took up most of his time. I'm a grad student so I'm forever procrastinating, and would love to get in on a PbP game.
Also, I'm not a bot! |

Hey, I'm Raiki.
On the off-chance that anyone recognizes that name from the Playground, the Wizards site, or pretty much any other gaming forum...yeah, that's me. I'm relatively inexperienced at Shadowrun, I played a face in a game a few years back, but I'm going to be running a game relatively soon, so I thought I'd stop by and partake of many years of combined knowledge. I'm looking forward to becoming part of this kick-ass community, and I swear, my Stealth is at rating 6, so you'll never catch me spamming. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ~R~ |

How do we all know that spambot's aren't just rogue AI's?
BTW, I heard the Eifel Tower is for sale again. Any takers? Just wire me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) 500,000 and I'll hook you up. |

I'd say let Karma in. Even if he's a Spambot, we need all the players we can get. Get these youngins away from their pinball machines and Grand Theft Auto.

Okay, this seems as good as any place to start. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Hi, I'm Ole, I'm from Norway and I've been roleplaying for almost 2/3s of my life. I was first introduced to Shadowrun in 97 or somesuch, and after the group I was playing in broke up a couple of years later, I started my own group while I was in the army. I picked up nearly every 2e product back then, played most of them, and after the army that group also broke up and I gradually moved on to other systems (mainly Deadlands, which you should check out if you do not already know it). I picked up 3e, but never played it. Now, the GM who first introduced me to SR is starting up a new game; he has insisted that we'd used 4e and as such, I have picked up a 20th anniversary ed. I must admit, I like the new system a LOT more than I expected (I frankly expected to hate it), and if all goes as planned, we'll be rolling this Saturday. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Hi Guys, I'm new here, and of course, as all of you I am a spam bot selling viagra and that other thing too.
Apart from that I'm a new GM in Shadowrun (though I GMed some in 90's and even played a couple of games in Shadowrun back then). Now I'm about to lead my first group in the fourth edition after like 17 years of not playing. The group are mostly noobs but even so I'm scared shitless (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I hope that proves I"m at least part human (except for the occasional cyberlimb or two). And if anybody has advice for first time S4e GMs, I'm glad to hear it too. So far I decided to fake rules in case I can't find them fast enough during playtime (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) God, I hope this helps me survive... I hope to get better with time, at least if my players don't get discouraged after this first one. Cheers! |

Just add your best guess for most relevant skill and attribute and have your player roll it. If they get a bunch of hits, something awesome happens, if not, rocks fall and everyone dies. |

'lo all. I'm a relative Shadowrun novice; I've been RPing for a little while now but I'd always gone to CP2020 for my cyberpunk gaming. Of course, it's out of print now and I kinda liked 4E's attempt at staying relevant when I looked at the corebook, so here I am.

Hi
I'm from Germany and to be honest, I registered for one reason only: I'm searching the net for more information about this wonderful game called SR-T/CCG (shadowrun trading/ collectable card game) and hints led me to your forum administrator Bull. And hey, I just read the thread concerning your players meet and greet back in 2008 at GenCon. Seems to me that it has been a cool event. Nevertheless, I need to contact Bull as he is my closest link to something called "CorpWars". Yes, I'm talking of "CorpWars", a real big thing and a burning desire of mine. So, if you finally read this (after both PM to you and Mail to the forums admins cause PM failured failured), please, contact me! Thanks in advance Troy |

Welcome Troy. The SRCCG has been out of production for quite some time, but I'm sure there are a few fans around here. I didn't know that was one of Bull's particular interests, but now you can PM him yourself. LINK

What should I do? Should I admit that I've made mistakes? Should I remind you that I've done this before? Should I give you a history lesson? What should I do?
I was at Barnes and Noble one day and picked up the SR4 corebook and rifled through it, followed by Arsenal and Augmentation. I was hooked. I started out on another Shadowrun website more focused on PbP, which I, and some other Dumpshockers it seems still use. I came to Dumpshock because you guys seem to answer gameplay questions more quickly, and, overall, the post count on the other site was a little too slow for me. Maybe I should have posted here first but I figure better late than never. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smokin.gif) p.s. lovin' these emoticons |

Oookay. Time to add something about myself.
I'm an old-time player, but not really a SR veteran. I've played a short 2nd edition campaign. A while ago i went crazy for SR, and bought a 20-th anniversary corebook, and once in a while i return to being a mad shadowrunner. And since i live in Poland and don't really have the time, nor players to run an SR campaign, i stick to stalking forums and websites like Dumpshock. And Earthdawn. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) I'm also a member of the (only) polish SR forums, trying to pour some essence into the place, since it's a bit ghoulish... |

I might as well introduce myself. I've been playing shadowrun since 1st ed. Back in '89 if I remember correct. My friends and I are trying to get back into the game, and I'll likely be posting now and then for advice/rules questions.
