Might as well introduce myself
I've been drooling over my shadowrun books for the last couple years but have not got any real play out of them yet. The only other thing for me to report is that I am a socio-linguist and as will consider all posts as data. The Shuhite |

Oh I do wish I'd spotted this earlier! I did look for an introduce yourself thread, I swear, but now I've found it: I'm Thad, mostly known as codemonkey_uk online. I'm a long time RPGer, starting with Heroquest in my teens, Warhammer, ADnD, more recently Delta Green and Dragon Warriors. I've just started SR4 (with the DG/DW group) and it's my turn to GM. I've GM'd in the past, but it's been a while, and the whole group is green to Shadowrun. So far I'm enjoying the game, it seems quite rules-heavy and has what feels like a pretty horrendous learning curve. I found Dumpshock looking for source materials and advice for SR4 noobies, so far I'm very impressed by the active and friendly community you've got here. Anyway. I am not a spam bot. How much discount are you offering? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I even have this one where a hot latina does this crazy thing with her........well mi amigo, you'll just have to try it out. New to SR, but I am jumping in with both feet. It looks like you have a good group of people on this board and look forward to learning a great game.

Hello All,
I'm John, i've been playing and GMing Shadowrun since 1E. Just got back into it as one of my players wants to run it as an alternate to our D&D game. I've never played 4E and haven't picked up the books yet, but they're on my list. |

Hello, I'm Paul Kauphart (and no, this is not my real name), and I know SR since the 3rd Ed, though I never had the opportunity to try that edition. Played the 4th a couple of time until my group scattered all throughout France at the end of our studies.
Have to say I'm impressed by the dumpshock community, hiding a flood topic under the excuse of introducing new members... I like it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Hey Folks,
Been purusing these boards for a long time now, and get alot of use out of them - great resource. I've just kicked off an SR3 campaign after about four years on other stuff and decided to spark up my old account. Oddly enough the log in had forgotten my previous account but remembered my email address, making it a real pain to reregister (wonder if there's someone I can talk to about fixing that?). Anyway, as I said, I'm running a metaplot-heavy, character-driven SR3 game with only 2 players, but it's been working out pretty well so far! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Oh! And I'm not a spambot! Nice to meet you folks! Askani'son |

Welcome back Askani'son. Send me a PM with your old account name and I'll see if there's anything to be done.

Hello, I'm not a spambot, I played a little SR4 in college a few years ago, but only oneshots. Last origins me and some friends did SR Missions and it was really fun.
So far I've only played stealth/shooter characters as I have yet to attempt the Matrix or Magical rules. I've played plenty of D&D, HERO and other game systems. I didn't even realize there was a probation until I read this thread. |
