(IMG:style_emoticons/default/love.gif) If you haven't tried the BSG boardgame, I can't recommend it highly enough. It is based on the new series.

Each player plays a cast member from the show. Players are randomly and secretly selected to be Cylons. The Humans win if they get to Kobol and none of their reasources hit zero. The Cylons win if the Humans lose.

This game is edge of your seat even on the 10 or 20th game. Fans of the show will love it. People who didn't watch the show can still get into the intrigue.

There is an expansion out that makes it slightly easier for the Humans to win and adds several new elements (including allowing one player to choose to be a Cylon at the start).

I've heard about this game, a friend in my gaming group was raving about it.
He did mention he had so much fun/tension when he was admiral adama, and was the only one on the ship to fend off the cylon boarders since all the other players went off ship to fight the cylon fighters and the game managed to end just in time or some such. I'll be sure to ask him to bring it along to a game night to check it out.

I do have to say, it's made by fantasy flight games and they do know their board games.

Yep, it's a really cool game. And quite different, too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
