Hee hee! Devilbwoy. I should try to snag an Amazonian contact named Acosta.

You probably should. those guys sold Daisy Cutter airstrikes and souped up Huey helicopters with rocketpods and miniguns.

I'm running through a full clear of that right now. Being able to buy those Daisy Cutters is a hoot.

My first few playthroughs I never really used airstrieks - I usually had a tank or a chopper and let that do the job, C4 for when I didn't. Now Misha's gettin' paid.

I'll put a final call in now for anything anybody wants done during downtime. If you have any questions I didn't answer or requests that didn't get acknowledged, please put them in soon as you can. I think I'll be kicking us back into game mode soon.

@Grimm and Combat Mage
I'll be making updates for you two. For Grimm it'll be further development for his involvement in his storyline. For Combat Mage, your knowledge skill roll has made you eligible for a scene of RP. I'll type up your scene later on tonight.

Holy shit, goddamn Leeron is Sam's arms dealer.

Smiley might need to pick up a cape and some pointy shades soon.

Sorry that I've made myself a bit rare, but with the move and my first week at the university I was too busy and stressed out for more than the minimum of posting activity. It's settling down a bit now (at least till october when I'm moving from my temporary living solution to my new apartment) so I'm hoping to be more active again.

@Rastus: Now that you mention it, I remember that I've actually seen the first half of Gurren Lagann (it wasn't finished back then). I really need to dig it up and finish it, I recall it being awesome.

Edit: Some additions to my list of stuff I want to buy:
Some HE-Grenades, some APDS ammo in heavy pistol and assault rifle caliber, non-conductivity and fire resistance upgrades for my FFBA and maybe a small portable radar thingy (if something like that exists and isn't too expensive, need to look it up).

I'll work on a post for the list I"ll send to Sergei / check out the property / set up the central draw.

@Combat Mage
I'm just pointing out that you did take the Amnesia quality. The backstory is all mine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Also, you reconnected with your Connections 3/Loyalty 5 arms dealer contact, Alejandro Mariposa.

And yes, the deal is serious. You give Alejandro the "night of his life", and he'll give you the rifle. Sometimes it's just best to give a girl what she wants.

@Rastus
Actually, my inspiration for Alejandro was the character Kaylo in the movie Crank. Or similarly, the character of Venus in the sequel.

@Martin
I actually really liked your downtime post, despite the fact you think he's not really doing anything. As a result: Coatl has learned more than he thinks, watching the docs maintain his arm. He's starting to puzzle out how cyberware internals work. Being able to tinker around on his own arm has made it something of a learning lab for him. Put Coatl down for a free point in Cybertechnology.

Well if they had a "relationship" before, I guess Sangre swings both ways. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Never played a bi or gay character before, that's gonna be both interesting and awkward. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
I'll edit my last post a bit to make it fit better.

Also I would do a lot worse things for a gauss rifle. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smokin.gif)

On a totally unrelated note, I'm spending 6 Karma on Heavy Weapons (Assault Cannons): 1 (+2)

Well, thank you, Abs. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'm going to buy Heavy Weapons up to 3, and learn Gunnery at 1 so I can use anything we might have bolted on to a vehicle. Although I like Rastus' suggestions I'm going to skip any specializations for the moment but will probably pick them up later.

I figured the gauss rifle would help ease the transition. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Also, I don't expect a long, drawn-out post about Sam's "date night." A fade to black and a fast forward are probably the best course.

I'm going to double check your list of desired gear, and if I think Alejandro has it I'll let you buy it.

Edit: Looked over your list. Alejandro cannot repair or modify anything. So repairing your weapons or modifying existing ones is beyond his abilities. He sells stock items. You cannot repair your armor, but you can buy a new suit of the exact same stuff. You can buy the stock (straight-from-the-book) versions of weapons, but you can't mod them. You should find yourself a gunsmith or armorer to do that. You can get the earbuds with hearing enhancement, though. That's pretty common. Basically anything stock in that list of yours you can get. Even the Ares Alpha. I didn't see anything ridiculous (like another assault cannon or anything.) Assume he has weapons and armor up to Availability 12, the stuff you can grab in chargen. Stuff harder to get will take a bit longer.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too.

Considering this Sangre is buying the following:
-Ares Alpha with 2 clips of HE grenades and 5 clips of Ex-Ex ammo.
-Armored Trenchcoat (=Armor Jacket), FFBA (Half-Body), Secure-Tech PPP Shin Guards, Forearm Guards, Helmet
-5 clips of Ex-Ex ammo for the Ares Predator
-Earbuds with Hearing Enhancement 3

Does Alejandro sell weapon accessories/mods even if he doesn't install them? If yes Sangre would also buy:

-External Smartlink x2
-Shock Pad
-Airburst Link
-Gas Vent 3
-Personalized Grip x2
-Underbarrel Weight
-Sound Surpressor
-Silencer

Sangre will then contact Sonora to find out if Sergei does equipment modification. Should I put that into an IC post or do we handle that OOC?

If Sangre mentioned his need for mods IC, Coatl might have piped up that he could try to put it together. Although you'd need to get the pieces, and Coatl has no tools.

Between what I bought, what Sonora's probably spending on the hideout, and CM buying even MORE junk, I can't help but worry about all that money sudddenly vanishing.

You know, that gauss rifle would make a great mounted weapon.

No way, man, Coatl wants the Thunderstruck mounted on his cyberarm. No, wait, that'll screw with his blades.... mount it on his meat arm. Just make sure the screws get driven all the way to the bone.

They'll let it go for 125,000 nuyen. You can make interest-free payments, or do the lump sum. That's a good deal, since it has functioning utilities, living space for plenty, holds four vehicles, and you can work on cars there.

I'm sure you guys can figure a way to get the cash. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Ares Thunderstruck: Free.
A safe place to keep it: Good bit over 100k

Go figure. Wonder if any local oil tycoon's need a couple guns-for-hire to help rescue an imprisoned general?

Doss is up. I also intend to get one up about Sergei and La Guaira, and possibly the cathedral/account setup. Odin's day will be a busy one for Sonora..

Intending on paying 10 payments of $12,500 each, so I'm thinking Smiley's idea to hijack a shipment isn't a bad one once we get more info. Sonora is dropping $2500 of her own cash towards that, so that's 10k the rest of you can split amongst yourselves. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)
