Between that and cyber-pidgins transmitting sensory data, being paranoid may not be enough...

It's things like this that make Shadowrun somewhat hard to believe. In the future, it would be possible (Easy even) to get so much security that it would be literally impossible to bypass it without setting off an alarm. Even in modern times it is near impossible to subvert most forms of security. Good luck getting past a pressure pad without being able to fly (and you could still set it off), a thermal camera without raising the building's temperature to 98F, or a motion detector without... well, a sheet, but whatever.

the trick is not to be a sensory black hole, but to appear as if one belong there. And that takes hackers and masking spells (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Its already possible to do that with the RAW.

Put a camera behind a door that monitors to insure that the door is closed.

Even if you know the camera is there, you can't open the door.

I have a character that uses exactly that for home security (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

And of course the camera isn't connected to the matrix until it detects that the door is opened, and so can't be hacked until after it has sent out its warning signal.
