@Combat Mage

Oh, Dahlia is totally going to visit a very suspicious Street Doc in Redmond later that afternoon/evening. So they could totally get into a scuffle or meet in some other capacity.

I've been waiting on Karoline to reply as Doc is currently hosting her at his apartment, but it's been a couple days without any response. I'm getting ready to just skip ahead some and assume he found her a shelter to stay in until she can spoof a lifestyle. So depending on how far beyond January 2nd everyone is, he'll be free to meet people.

Sorry Solon, got caught up in SC2 for a while, and then was working on trying to catch up on the posts, but it was slow going, I keep getting so tired lately. Won't get a real chance to post anything till Sunday, so feel free to make your assumption for now. I'll see if I can catch up with stuff on Sunday or not.

Yeah, and Rhodes has been sitting at the bar, tapping his foot, and waiting for a response to his question that I'm beginning to doubt will be forthcoming.

I'll give SSS a good prod. I think he's getting home from a post Gen Con visit to some friends out of town sometime today.

Totally sorry about that, Red Cap. I tend to not check my InterTubes when on vacation; I should have thought about that before I left. Again, sorry.

But! I left a new post recently, allowing you to say yes (if you want) and Silver to say no (since he seems to want to play a dif. character.

I decided to make some slight changes in my character. Posting it here so Unsound can copy and past the new sheet in the database when he finds the time.

@Grimm: Firstly I wanted to thank you for writing a scene for me. I really appreciate it.

Secondly, what entrance options has the target building? The front door, the side doors, the garage door? How about windows that are big enough for a 3 meter troll? How are they secured each?

What material is the front door made of and how sturdy does it seem?

Edit: Oh also, had 2 hits on a defaulted infilitration roll for trying to be stealthy while getting closer to the building.

@Combat Mage: Hey no problem. Figured I'd help get the ball rolling. Not much of a joint project if everyone is waiting around for someone else to do something.

Entrance options: None of the windows would be big enough for you to climb through. The windows on the bottom floor are simply boarded over, though you're not entirely sure how thick. Plywood is visible. There does appear to be a couple of upstairs windows but they do have boards nailed across them from outside. As you already know, the side door is boarded over with plywood, the front door has three locks, and you don't know what's inside the garage. The condo is part of a side-by-side building where there is exactly the same condo built next to it in the same building. That side is completely run down, but you do know that there would not be any doors that would lead into the safehouse under normal circumstances.

The front door appears to be made of a heavier wood, possibly treated in some way to harden it. It does not look like a typical door appropriate to a 2040ish construction (IE like all the other buildings around).

Noted on the infiltration roll as well. If you need more info let me know.

Akecheta is not the most subtle guy nor especially good at coming up with a plan. :D

Trying to crash through the door:

Unarmed Attack with +2 charging bonus (I didn't use reach since I'm not sure if that helps against structures):
16d6.hits(5) → [2,4,4,3,3,6,6,4,3,5,3,6,5,2,1,3] = (5)

Base Damage is 13 P, AP -1, so the door has to soak 18 P, AP -1. Hope that's enough. :)

Edited because I hadn't taken my recent changes to the character sheet into accout.

Double Edit: Damn I always switch between writing the character's name as Akecheta and Akechete. Looked it up again and the right version is with an -a, Akecheta. It' s supposedly a sioux name meaning "fighter".

You know, I had thought that it seemed like the name was flipping between Akechete and Akecheta but didn't really put my finger on it at the time.

IC post incoming.

Don't have the time for an IC post right now, will get a short one up later today I hope.

If needed: Initiative: 9d6.hits(5) → [6,6,4,6,6,3,5,1,1] = (5) = 14

Akecheta is going to try to stay out of line of sight from the mobsters inside and kick in the rest of the door below the hole he made.

Unarmed Attack:
13d6.hits(5) → [6,5,4,1,1,1,4,1,3,3,3,6,5] = (4)

Base damage is 13P, AP -1.

Akecheta waits for the shooters to take a break and then shoots two smoke grenades through the door, one aimed to go off in the living room, the other in the kitchen. If they just keep firing without pause he will wait a couple more seconds and then just fire the grenades anyway, relying on his reaction and armor for defense.

Grenade 1:
10d6.hits(5) → [4,2,3,4,2,3,2,3,3,5] = (1)

Grenade 2:
10d6.hits(5) → [4,6,1,3,4,5,2,3,2,1] = (2)

That is some stellar die-rolling. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The ArmTech MGL is equipped with an Airburst Link so the scatter is only 1d6 meter, -1 per hit, and they explode in the same action phase they are shot. Both grenades are regular smoke grenades.

Searching for ShadowSEA on the nets I rolled Logic + Matrix Rumours and got a whopping 5 hits! If I need to roll data search instead that's one less die...
Log+Matrix Rumours = 5 Hits

Hopefully there's a hacker/TM out there who would also like to help out on a spot of B&E...

Triple rewards week one is concluded. Congrats to Abschalten, Aria, Combat Mage, and Grimm for maxing out their weekly award! It appears I will have a lot of reading to do when I get back, but I would have it no other way. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Please PM me if you wish to spend any karma and cash so I can update your sheet.

Triple rewards week two begins today.

I'd like to submit an additional character for consideration. As my first TM this may be a flawed build so comments welcome...particularly from Karoline as she seems to know TMs backwards!

Background will follow but she is loosely based on the Watcher character from the film Push...even down to the character sketch!

To the people running stories in this game, my combat oriented character is available if anyone wants to work out getting in touch in some way. I'm on the fence about going "Oh your contact gave me your link info" to get ahold of other people and get involved in a storyline. I don't particularly like that approach in metagaming without the consent of the party who I'm moving to interact with. I can certainly understand it as being a necessity in PbP gaming. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to cross paths through a contact network behind the scenes though if anyone needs some muscle for a job.

I realize this may not be a welcome approach but I felt it better than sitting around hoping for something to happen, forcing a course of action from another player's NPCs, or creating the circumstances myself to get involved without input from whomever else has things going.

OOC: I apologize for the space in posting, was out of town the last day. But I'm back now. Also you butchered your name again. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

D'oh on the name. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rotfl.gif) Also no worry on the posting frequency. Real life is always first in line.

Akecheta (!) is firing a long narrow burst on target 1 and a short narrow burst on target 2:

Target 1, long narrow burst (+5 DV): Agility 7 + Automatics 8 + Smartlink 2 = 17 Dice
17d6.hits(5) → [4,5,1,1,2,6,1,3,1,6,4,5,4,3,1,4,3] = (4)

Target 2, short narrow burst (+2 DV): Agility 7 + Automatics 8 + Smartlink 2 - Recoil 1 - Second Target 2 = 14 Dice
14d6.hits(5) → [6,2,2,6,5,5,4,3,1,6,3,1,6,2] = (6)

The Praetor is loaded with Stick-N-Shock ammunition.

I'm pretty much up for whatever. At the moment, Dahlia is on the way back from her street doc contact's clinic, and an NPC is about to attempt to mug Dahlia. That'll be a bit of ruckus that anyone could walk in on. It's also very possible that any of Dahlia's contacts dropped her name around the streets, and she's a half-decent medic. If Scar has heard anything about her, it would be that she's meta-friendly, but nutty as a spoon.
