I think we were just agreeing on plans. It's been a rough week at school; I'll be replying tonight.

Hey Grimm, Copperhead doesn't have a street doc as a contact but Cutter would certainly know someone. He is cybered up and helped Copperhead get her arms modded.
You mentioned something about one of his eyes being damaged / missing so he might need new cybereyes: Rating 2 eyes with smartlink, low-light, thermo and flare comp comes to 4500 base price, not including doctor costs - and assuming he's got the new eyes available. That's about all my current earned cash in game, so might need to fence the HMG for 30% of its base price (around 2250) towards the cost. Maybe Cutter has some cash stashed somewhere that he can chip in, or maybe the doc needs a favor done in lieu of cash? |

Not sure what threshold you want for those datasearch rolls. This might be a bit of a pain in the ass, but I'll ask you to make two separate Browse+Data Search Extended tests, subject to the cumulative -1 modifier. Keep rolling until you don't have any more dice in the pool, and do this twice. The threshold you get before you run out of pool will let me know how detailed I should get with my infodump. @Notsoevildm: Unfortunately I don't think you can fence the HMG. The karma and money we get each week is an abstraction ment to cover everything (payment for runs, selling loot and other stuff that comes up). At least that's how I read Unsound's response. But you might wanna ask him for details when he gets back.

I'll just have to arrange payment to get Cutter fixed up with Grimm. I'm sure between us we can come up with something ineresting. |

I'm not really sure what's going on with my scene. I believe I'm still waiting on someone to reply. I know Aria (Silk) is there, but she's on vacation. There should be one more person there, right? Sorry guys, I'm still kind of lurking around but it's going to take me some time to catch up on the IC thread...a newborn isn't what I'd exactly call a holiday but it's certainly rewarding! A |

@Combat Mage: No problem man.
@Notsoevildm: You don't need to worry about patching up an NPC with your resources since funds are limited to the weekly rewards. As for payment and exchange I had intended for Cutter to pay off camera with an exchange of favors owed and prior deals done. Post incoming. |

@Grimm. Sounds good. Be aware that I'm still getting the feel for PbP and particularly the abstract rewards used for this thread. So you can expect further strange questions like this, as they come up.

Alright, you both should make some new listings under contacts on your sheets.
Combat Mage: Slater - Hacker/Techie - Loyalty 2 / Connections 1 *Granting him to start at a loyalty 2 since you saved him from torture and probable murder. Cutter - Street Sam/Fixer - Loyalty 2 / Connections 1 *Same reason. Notsoevildm: Dr. Ted - Street Doc - Loyalty 1 / Connections 3 Slater - Hacker/Technie - Loyalty 2 / Connections 1 *Same reason. Notes: @Notsoevildm: I would like to point out that it's not in my nature to keep players unbalanced with things like rewards in particular. Though CM is benefiting a bit more from this run, there will be times for you to come out ahead as well. I just try and keep things consistent with the plot, storyline, and my NPC's thoughts and attitudes. |

I got into the action right away and Copperhead got two new contacts and a HMG in exchange for a couple of boxes of stun and a couple of rounds fired from her shotgun. That's a pretty good deal. I'm willing to lose the HMG (fenced for weekly cash) and pick up some bits and pieces from local traders. I'll post a list and you can let me know what I can get and if I need to roleplay any of it out (i.e. make an IC post). |

@Notsoevil:
We'll probably consider the shopping as just out of scene stuff. Up to you though. You guys have a couple of days of downtime coming up and CM will be out of town for the weekend; prolly giving handjobs to truckers behind a truck stop. But eh, what can you do. But yeah draw up a list and we'll go from there. |

Where are we with Dahlia's thread? It seems to have died... Our problem is until we can agree on what exactly we want to do, we're pretty much just sitting there talking about what we think will work. We kind of need some direction from the GM, but unsound is, like, in Australia or something. |

I'm thinking in rolling either a ex-Aztlan soldier Orc with some cyber issues (partly dumped from the army because of Temporal Lobe Syndrome, which he is trying to get treated for), or a human or dwarf hacker girl. Which one is better, a TM or a regular hacker, what do you think?
EDIT: Are advanced Lifestyle options good? Or just from the core? |

I think we've already got a few technos floating around, so a mundane hacker might be good for some variety. I don't know about the advanced lifestyle options, since unsound isn't around. But, I don't see why they would be a problem. (Anyone feel free to disagree with me on this.) |

Assensing test for Dr Ted. Intuition (3) + Assensing (1) = 4d6.hits(5)=2
And a shopping list: Troll sized shades (R3) with smartlink, image link and visual enhancements (R3) - 900 Earbuds (R1) with audio enhancements (R3) - 310 Medkit (R6) - 600 Food, drink, etc. (1 month squatter lifestyle) - 500 Lodge materials (R4) - 2000 Total: 4310 Does starting money count? I rolled 300 yen for Copperhead, so with weekly payments that would leave her with 990 yen. I'm also flexible on the rating of the visual and audio enhancements and the medkit, seeing as she'd be buying whatever the local traders had available. The lodge materials are something that she really should have already, but I forgot about on character creation. |

Starting money would count. I don't see anything on the list that would require much hunting to get. You should be able to either order it easily off the Matrix or find it in one of the undergroundish market hubs.
I'm going to go ahead and rule that you would've started with the rank 4 materials you requested. It seems to me that isn't something your character would've been without, save for that inefficient meat-unit piloting Copperhead forgetting it. I'll chalk it up to the same kind of bonus Akecheta is getting from his contact for performance on the last run, or what the hell ever. Call it a GM Gimme. So the rest would be 2310 and once we finish this scene in the clinic we'll just have you pick it up during down-time. |

Attempting first aid on Cutter, defaulting to Logic = 2d6.hits(5)=2
Assensing test on the Bunny: Intuition + Perception = 4d6.hits(5)=1 |

But, I don't see why they would be a problem. (Anyone feel free to disagree with me on this.) Given the principle behind this thread - actually a living, breathing world - I'd say it depends on the GM of the line you jump into. Unsound might not, Grimm might, Abschalten will just firebomb your doss anyway - so see who you want to hang with. The emphasis here is on the characters, not so much the places they're living. Well, yet. |
