Please post your OOC comments here of course.
Please feel free to post your thoughts that you don't mind sharing as well as cross-talk.

A few things, All Spoken communication, please put in double-quotes "
Put electronic comms in Italics

Actions can be normal.
In stead of using first person, please use your character name when possible, it'll help me cement player with character.

I'll ask you for the skill tests here, with TN. just tell me successes.

And of course, feedback is wonderful.

Anyway, can Jack pick up the phone please? We don't want to scare away our first customer with lousy etiquette rolls. :)

1 second. Tom just woke-up :)

Yes, my character is Thomas Bradley AKA Tom, Tommy, and Tommy Gun when he gets angry (Although he's usually quite tame)

Since we've not yet established what the office is actually like, I think doing that might be useful... Are we going for seperate rooms/cubicles, or is it open planned with our own desks? Personally, I think the latter with an area at the front with a couple of chairs or a couch as a 'waiting' area.

Quick? bio...

Nat is a Moon Shaman, her beliefs are grounded in Wicca, but are quite eclectic and also include parts from just about every other major religion, and indeed some not so major ones as well. She's quiet, but strong willed and likes to know (or at least think she knows) the full story before making conclusions. She loaths fighting and direct confrontation, and will always turn and run unless given absolutely no choice. If confronted with a foe, she would prefer to bring them down quietly from behind the scenes than make a direct confrontation.

She's a PI because she knows a lot of people who need justice can't, or wont trust the 'real' cops because of their necessarily self-serving corporate attitude and commonly ingrained predjudices.

She has a chequered past, with involvements with the Mob, in particular with a childhood friend/ex called Mike whom she still carries a torch for. Although they're no longer an item, they're still good friends and she still can't help herself from being dragged back into the underworld on the occasions he desperately needs help with things arcane.

As a PI she also has inevitable ties to Lone Star, imparticular through an old fashioned detective called John. In college she made friends with a dwarf who became a metahuman rights lawyer called Sarah, and being a Sorcerer she obviously has a Talismonger contact, called Steve.

When she's not working or practicing magic, she's either got her head in a book (be it a novel, magical journal, or text book), or she's out spending money on clothes or in Steve's Talismongery.

Description:
She is reasonably tall and has a slim build with long white hair that comes to about half way down her back and very blue eyes.

She has pale skin, thanks to her being albino, and a number of tattoos, including angel wings on her back, a feathered serpent around her left upper arm, a celtic knot pattern around her right arm and a tribal sun over her navel. She also has several rings in each ear (some of which are fetishes) and a bar through her right eyebrow.

Skills:
Sorcery, Aura Reading, Electronics/Surveilance devices, Computers/Search Operations, Car, Pistols, Brawling, Athletics, Stealth, Etiquette/Street.

Knowledges:
Security Procedures, Spell Design, Magic, Law, Literature, Poetry.

Languages:
English, Polish, German.

Can I default to Law?

Edit: No matter, it's the same number of dice as intelligence, and either way it's 1 success be it 6s or 8s

Defaulting to Intelligence, Mnemonic Enhancer reduces penalty to +3. Scored a 4, a 9 and a 10 on the dice (amd many 3s and 2s).

I think my Mnemonic Enhancer might give me some more dice, but I don't know if it counts as a memory related intelligence test (+3 dice), a Knowledge skill test (+1 dice), or neither.

I'll wait to see if I recognise the name before I post again.

I figured the office has walls, but also has frosted glass windows between each room and the main hall. Sound OK?

Angel
The name sounds familiar, sorta that Deja vu' sensation.

Lilt
You could swear you've seen that name or herd it attached somehow to the Mayor's office. He's not an official, but he works for one.

More info as I get the results in.

Edit - forgot it's +4 from attribute

Default to Intelligence: 1, 1, 3, 5, 9, 17. Oooo, lucky dice!

Quick Bio:

Gil Stokes is the son of Nick Stokes, retired criminalistics. Trained at CDC Pathology, worked for the UCAS FBI Forensics before coming out on his own. His field of study is concentrated on physical and biological evidence with respect to magical crimes. He couldn't take simply investigating crime from 1000 miles away since most of the evidence are shipped to FBI labs for analysis and he had ended up feeling he could have gathered better evidence had he been at the scene of the crime.

Contacts are a Lone Star Johnson who hires him as expert witness and a fixer who was an ex-collegue at FBI (the former SAC-Seattle).

What can I say? I love having totems make house calls.
This is a vision, there is no aura per se.
However, the imagery denotes that the Maiden wanted to clue you in on something, I leave it to you to listen or not.

/makes note: when joing game run by Nikoli, play mundane or hermetic :)

I wasn't expecting there to be an aura or anything, but it's always an obvious and worthwhile check if sorcery may be at hand.

Look at it this way, it's a free version of common sense. Besides I hear people complain how Shamans never interact with their totem save for casting spells or summoning, I think it's boring when that happens. And trust me, if I want someone to have a vision in my games, they will, either in a dream form or through their totem. :vegm:

Ack. Are we allowed Cultured or not? I asked about it in the "Game Idea" thread but you didn't respond. I also mentioned in his character description that he has a Mnemonic Enhancer and a Cerebral Booster but nobody complained then... I could re-make the character quickly, but he'd be a fair bit thinner on Knowledge and Language skills (Or perhaps richer as I spend 155k :nuyen: on knowsofts and linguasofts).

Personally I don't mind.
And yes, this means that if you want them for your character Panzergeist, go for it.

Well it's certainly made me think a bit more about metamagic... think I'll probably go for Divination rather than Psychometry for number 1. Still, there's some spells yet to learn I want, not to mention one or two sustaining foci.

Heck, with a name like Oracle Investigations, I'd be surprised if you didn't go for Divination. Heck, almost any of the metamagics would be good, if applied properly.

True enough. Guess I could always ask "Are we going to crack this case?" as soon as we accept it, if the answer's a positive we can charge up front :)
