Character sheet and background available here.

He still needs a street name, which I'm completely stumped on. Please make any suggestions you'd like. I wanted to give him a bicycle, but I don't know of any rules/stats for them in SR4. I didn't touch Way of the Adept because I wasn't sure if you would allow it. I won't bother to calculate starting cash until his lifestyle is finalized and approved.

Ok, I can rework him as an elf, it'll give me more points to put in other things.

One down. Five to go. Statuses are updated two posts above.
When posting characters, please use the format I did above for Almost Normal's character. It makes it go much faster for me.

-Thanks!

PS: I've not previously allowed the optional "More Ways to Die" rules from Arsenal (aka advanced martial arts rules). I will look those over and make an updated decision over the next few days.

Sorry, my group always used those rules in SR3, so I didn't even think to ask you. If you want me to rework the character, it's not a problem.

Thanks! that made it so easy to check.
Couple of points:
1) Positive and Negative Qualities are limited to 35/-35. You have 42pts of positive qualities.
2) You are very light on contacts. Those really add depth to a pbp.
3) Martial Arts. As stated, I've not allowed those rules in the past, but I am will to compromise as the cost seems to balance the advantage.

How about something like:
5 Adept
5 Night Vision
5 School of Hard Knocks
15 Martial Arts III (Kung Fu: +1dp Block in Melee, +1dp Dodge in Melee, +1 DV Unarmed Attack)
2 Martial Arts Maneuver: ??

10 additional BP for contacts

I'll play with the character a bit and see what I can come up with. I already have one new contact, a Buddhist monk who has taken him under his wing, and I'll try to find at least one more. I'm also going to flesh out nature/culture of the building he lives in and they people he shares the space with. An appropriately interesting old-world atmosphere is what I'm aiming for.

I'll tone down the Martial Arts expenditure. I'm in the process of re-tweaking the character sheet and backstory. Do you think the Wanted quality is too strong? I was a little worried about it unbalancing the story you already have in progress. As alternatives I was considering Bad Rep, the notoriety being for what happened with the Triad in Hong Kong, and/or Big Regret, for the his brutal actions and the karma he's brought upon himself.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Maneuvers are not Qualities, so it is just 30, actually.

The Wanted is fine.
Also, it may not have been clear, but the free fixer is the one already active in the game: It will either be Kilroy for the Puyallups or Stump in Redmond.

Looks pretty good. One little thing: He is 33,720 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) overspent. I note that if you have to make a driving test, you have a 2dp. The latter, of course, is ok if you are ok with it. Looks like you are pretty close to IC.

Did I forget to include the 7BP for gear in the character section? I have it in my build, so everything should add up properly if I put that back in. With that everything adds up properly on my spreadsheet.

No, I have 7bp (35,000 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) ) for equipment. That simply puts your build points to 401 bp. As a note, the only place I have 1 bp is where you bumped your fixer's loyalty from a 1 to a 2.

doh, I thought I fixed that. Ok, Loyalty on the street dealer should have been dropped to 1 rather than 2, that's where I originally got the extra point, guess I just screwed up when I transferred it over. I'll update the above with the correction.

I'm just finishing up tweaking my character sheet and background info. I'm trying to spend the last of my Nuyen and I have a question: Does anybody know what an Urban Explorer Jumpsuit actually looks like? The description doesn't conjure up a relatable image in my mind. I've tried searching the forum and Google, but can't find anything.

Oddly enough, if you do a google image search for "parkour jumpsuit", the second row of images is Bruce Lee's iconic yellow jumpsuit.

And yeah, Sorry Doc. Not sure what to say to comfort you, but it would have been nice having you around.
