So, i have this gizmo i want to make for 4th ed.

i cobbled this long ago in 3rd.

1: shoulder mounter, via a cyberware mounting (that adds recoil comp?). {think predator}
2: can be detached and left as a stationary sentry {think engineer from TF2}
3: Have a at least 6 dice to roll if shooting by its own AI
4: assault rifle like weapon [EDIT] SMG like weapon
5: FOF system
6: can be fired, activated / deactivated, through smartlink by non-rigger while attached on sholder
7: good sensor package.

this my have to be a rigger toy, but i would like to have regular cybers be able to use it.

I have people use something like that too, i normaly use a standart smart firing platform as the standard model... but only mount a smg or heavy pistol on it for normal people.
Also i assign a dice-pool modifier for the thing, since it has to adapt to the movement of the wearer.

For bigger guns there is the third arm, or not?

You could pull that off with some wangling with a smart firing platform and a weapon mount peice of cyber. You juts take to gun from one slap it on the other the negative is that cyber weapon mount is up to SMG only. Though you coudl do the same with articulating weapon arm but its harder to implant then this combo could take up to LMG size.

Actually, you know, that reminded me of something.

What is the largest sensor package a person can comfortably carry? And how many sensors can you fit into it? I know it wouldn't be as secure, but would a shoulder mounted uber-sensor with piped-in optics be a viable alternative to cybersenses/goggles and earbuds.

Weird question, I know. I'm not even sure why I'm asking it. Maybe part of me wants to give my cyber-zomie a Metal Gear Solid style Radome.

i did not think about a SMG . that would be good enough and keep it as small as i want. large clip size and all 3 firing modes are what I am after.

The Gyro Link modification will compensate for the runner's movement, but I think it needs a turret to work.

Gecko Grip should make it easy to mount and dismount the drone.

I have a fly spy, gecko tips, chameleon coating, improved sensor array, 2 cameras (front/back), 1 microphone, 1 ultrawideband sensor array. You can decide for yourself how big/heavy it is, but it's a good starting baseline.

As usual, I think he's legal. I might have missed a rule.

Also don't forget good ear protections if you plan to have the thing fire while stuck on your shoulder...

If you want a slight more funky idea. I can see about a backpack drone... Could even work as a back pack too and a high tech back pack think rouge trooper's Bagman with an added gun.

Edit OK I really want to stat out rouge trooper's/Firaday's gear now. But I think every thignwill need AIs to wrok fully will the Helm will in deed the rest I can use personality's. In Cannon all the items are technically e-ghosts in SR terms.

Bagman was the one that broke the game for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Having your backpack operate a grenade launcher, reload your guns for you (while you fire another one) and generally cause havoc was entertaining.

Well I can by RAW have it reload and reassemble your guns. Armourer auto-soft and mechanical arms (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Trying to work out what an articulating weapon arm for a drone would be classed as. I guess a turret and fluff the rest? I'm trying to work out the body for a back pack drone to some who I think a modded Lynx/Doberman as base is too big (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) still they fit all my boxes give it limited movement and they a tone of special purpose mods for cargo space and arms ect.

Then you buy two of what ever set of modular weaponry you want so you can have one ready to swap out to. Using a mixture of scripts and mechanicaly arms you can have it reload for you too. The real thign is you can't have more than 3ip and must be above it int wise for it to work. Still 3ips no reloading makes up for the lost one in my eyes.

if i was going full back pack. i would have it be a dron rack and service bay for 4-6 micro drones.

A backpack with retractable cyberarms.
A Technomancer with Command threaded to 12.

Default every test at 11 dice.

As to mobile sensor packages, the Mounted Sensor is the size of a lunchbox, with a capcity of 5 and a signal of 4.
You could probably carry a couple of those around with no difficulty. Couldn't palm the suckers though..

How about this? Get one of those torso mounted gun arms. Mod it as a removable limb (afaik its a cyberlimb, though it has no capacity). Give it added bulk so you can throw in a foot spike, maybe. Mod the gun as a drone, and give it control of the limb. (Ah, see somthing similar suggested above. Ninjad)

You mean Modular? That's as good a solution as any. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) You'd need a custom Pilot for the arm/gun unit. Instead of a Foot Anchor, how about a Magnet System, or (even better) a smartlinked Gecko Tips setup of some kind? Then you could stick the thing where you want, and it just has to aim.

I wouldn't give any special RC for either mounted or mobile versions, though, and an SMG is still pretty big. I guess it depends on just how mohawk this is, but a Machine Pistol would be a little more reasonable. The whole thing would be *at least* as unavailable and Forbidden as the articulated weapon arm (isn't it like 20F?).
