I think I can answer that in one word, which is no.

(Including Mystic Adepts.)

Of course, that's just AFAIK.

Astral Gateway Power of Spirits, and the Drug known as Shade...

Both are options that my Physical Adept uses, when possible, for things like Astral Quests...

There is a metamagic from SOTA64 I believe. It's a limited Astral Projection. Time increment is in minutes iirc.

Keep in mind that is from SR3, not SR4(a).

Bang on the money, although it's a damn good metamagic anyway for an adept.

Also, there is infection with the Gaki ghoul strain. Instant astral projection! Spend your days hiding in the basement while your astral form roams the city, and your evenings eating prostitutes!

....... you just reminded me horribly of a mixup when I was learning chinese (yes, I speak mandarin IRL). Was in a college class, and we were all taking turns trying to make use of a new grammar pattern we learned, and one of the girls made a mispronunciation and turned "you should eat more goldfish" (the crackers) into "you should eat more prostitutes."

Now I'm starting to wonder if she was secretly a ghoul......

Yes. Astral Gateway was already mentioned, and the other option is to play a Gaki (a ghoul variant). They get Astral Projection as a racial feature.

Well, the difference between "Jin yu" and "Ji nu" is marginal (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grinbig.gif)

I think I'd stick with Astral Gateway. Plenty of Free Spirits would love for an adept to owe them a favor. Developing a craving for Human flesh seems like going to far.

Ork and Elf flesh work too, you know. Just in case you want a more crisp or more tender taste (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Well... both words are off tone but I guess you could flub it...
1st tone, second tone
vs
fourth tone, third tone...

Elf, it's what's for Dinner.

Ork, the Other Red Meat.

Troll Jerky, almost as tough as the origin.

I would say that cannibalism doesn't count if it's from a different race but in this world they are too close together.

Centaurs.. though... mmmmm.. horse jerky.
