Is it still legal to kill someone in self-defense? And more so, when does it stop? These days I have had cops tell me, "Just don't reload. But you can empty the magazine in defense." So if a ghoul munches on someone in self-defense, is that kosher?

Ha, thanks. And they have to feel no pain. But still, the question stands. If Homeowner Ghoul A has his house broken into by Gangers A, B, and C and proceeds to kick the shit out of them and then eat them would LS or KE care at all?

The short answer is 'yes'. Even if you assume an ironclad Castle Doctrine, you don't get to eat them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Or rob them, or secondarily deface the bodies, or dump them in the street, etc. All other crimes (defacing a body is a crime, IIRC) remain crimes. Bad ghoul!

Self-defense really relies on you having no other way out. You can't be standing in the middle of a field, having someone advance on you with a knife, kill them and then claim self-defense. You have to have no other way out.
Course, that also depends on what jurisdiction you're in. In Arizona you can use deadly force to defend person or property. I'm sure in the California Free State, you can probably do the same even though the old California didn't like guns. |

You're not even allowed to loot the pockets of somebody you killed in self defence, I doubt taking his leg is okay then. Of course if the self-defence situation involved flechettes on full auto, LS might not notice some parts are missing...
