Abort! Uncanny valley!

Do not like its face. Or its hands. Also, its the size of a 12 year old.

In this day and age, I'm not particularly impressed by pretty renderings.

Call me when they have working prototypes.

Also, yes, that face is creepy as hell.

For a second, I thought the title was Robot Butter.

Seems interesting, regardless. I can't imagine it meeting the deadline of March, though.

I'll be seeing that blandly smiling face, with its vacant stare and cold, dead eyes, in my nightmares now. Great.

Shall we just label the article Nightmare Fuel then?

Tell me you can't picture a horror flick where an army of those things -- with those vapid little smiles -- just tearing people apart while they sleep, or something.

Well, they weren't smiling, but there was "I, Robot", a couple of the episodes on "The Animatrix" had some good robo-massacres, "The Simpson" episode when they went on vacation to the Itchy and Scratchy them park. Wait, the robots were smiling in that last one, which is actually fitting.

It might be I, Robot that the faces remind me of, in fact. But...yeah. I'm just picturing those shining, dead, eyes and the cutesy little smile with a spatter of blood across the face, to complete the picture, once Deus takes these things over and kick-starts the Arcology lockdown.

I prefer Hitchcock.

All it has to do is stand, and stare, and watch as people sleep. Immobile. Unstoppable. And you just never know when it will actually do anything.

Or even if it will do anything.

Just. Standing. There.

Watching.

Yeah, I don't know which was worse - the humans killing that robot woman, or the scene where they were sticking humans in the Matrix. I can't watch those shorts for exactly that reason; whoever did them made sure you felt uncomfortable watching them.
