The Kid's actual mother was a young joygirl who was killed by a rough trick when he was only a baby. With no one stepping forward to be a father, he was raised by a small village worth of prostitutes. While he is no longer the young tyke who used to occassionally run past a prospective John looking at a line of girls in a massage parlor's reception area, the joygirls of the Warrens are still mother (and sister in the case of some of the younger ones) to him.

Physical Description:

The Kid (who thankfully outgrew the moniker Ultra Flash, which he had insisted the police call him when he was arrested) is posessed of that indeterminate mix of heritage that could mean he is Asian, or perhaps Amerind, or Spanish. He has dusky skin, and angular features, and he is slight of frame, but not androgynous. Regardless, he dresses to stand out when he is not out for a scouting mission, favoring cheap jewlery and imitations of the newest clubware with a ganger's hard edge to it.

Background:

The Kid has been around the gang since he was knee high. Raised by an ever changing landscape of prostitutes, he developed into your average ultra-horny too damn smart for his own good, fast talking teenager. He would have been content with your usual gangland fun, if it had not been for Fiona. Fiona was, as he, the daughter of one of the Aurora prostitues, except that she knew who her mother was, and Fiona was beautiful beyond compare. He was madly in love with her from the age of five, and she thought of him as her best friend. At least until she got kidnapped. While he could not believe it, Kid knew that when Fiona went missing it was one of the Johns who had taken her, one of the out of area Johns that was looking to slum it. With the help of Hackket he managed to dredge up a short list of likely suspects, and track one especially likely one as having come across the CAS border. Convinced he was going to be Fiona's white knight, and win her eternal love, Kid snuck through an old sewer line into the CAS sector, and promptly tried to boost a car. Unfortunately for him he happened to be boosting - or rather had sucessfully boosted - the car of a border cop who was just coming off duty. In the ensuing chase Kid ended up deep inside of the CAS sector, and was forced to ditch the car near the line for some club or another. While trying to lose the cops, Kid yelled out a line dredged up from some old show 'cheese it, it's the fuzz' and for some reason the crowd just went nuts.

Of course they half trampled him, and he was caught.

They tried him as an adult, and gave him five years.

Two years later Kid was released from prison for a combination of good behavior and budget cuts, and dumped back into the Warrens. During his time in prison he had ingratiated himself to several of the Saints that were serving bids, and they put in a word for him. That was a year ago. He has come a long way from being a white knight on a mission. But he has never forgotten Fiona.

Backstory:

Brian David Abernathy was the second child of a professional elf couple in the Tir. He grew up never quite feeling right, in his community, or in his skin. Early tests showed a great deal of dysphoria with regards to his identity. His parents strove to give him a home in which he could feel safe and comfortable, but their efforts were in vain. He wasn’t an overly violent kid, and never got into fights. Instead he was more vindictive, never forgetting a slight. Instead of beating up those who made fun of him, he would wait until the time was ripe and kill their dog, for example.

At the age of 13, confronted with his behavior, Brian ran away from home for good. In Seattle he hocked many of his possessions and used the money for a bus ticket, one way, to Denver, hoping to escape.

Life on the streets of the Mile High City was difficult, and Brian found that he was forced to do some very unpleasant things to survive. An attractive boy, he found greater opportunity to do so than some might. As he lived this hand to mouth existence, he began to tinker with his identity, trying out different personae over time, keeping what felt right, discarding what felt wrong.

After a time, he found himself in a rough situation, and forced to defend himself. Empowered, and leaving his assailant a bloody mess on the floor of the bathroom in a cheap by-the-hour motel, Brian, who now tended to go exclusively by the name Pretty, began the difficult work of ingratiating himself with one of the local thrill gangs.

It was hard for a 15 year old transvestite to get much play in the typically macho gang culture. It took another incident of violence to convince the rank and file that he was serious, and would be an asset to the gang – he beat an ork a hundred pounds heavier than himself into submission, and very nearly to death, with a style of vicious infighting that left the gangers breathless.

Since nobody gets to choose their own gang name, Pretty submitted to the group, sure he was going to be ostracized and mocked again, prepared to leave the gang and throw himself off of an overpass onto I-25. Instead, the leader, recognizing raw talent, assigned him the name Princess, and made her an enforcer.

Now eighteen, Princess has run protection rackets, acted as backup muscle for close in work, especially where a message needed to be sent, and handled various stables of girls in the employ of the gang. An opportunity has arisen, however, for Princess to help take over a stretch of abandoned territory, and she’s determined to see it through to a successful conclusion.

Princess is loyal to the gang, to the point of self sacrifice. She’s never had any surgery done, no bioware, no gene therapy – with regards to her gender. She’s currently happy dressing and living life as a woman, without making any permanent changes. Her clothing choices tend towards knee-high leather high heeled boots, fishnets, miniskirts, and midriff tops with various band names on them. When it’s cold, or a fight is in the works, an armored duster is a standard accessory.

She stands 5’9”, weighs about 150 pounds (leaning towards anorexia), and has long, bushy, curly blonde hair.

Erik Bohler grew up in the Denver Warrens SINless, and forgotten, and nobody was entirely surprised when he started running with gangers at a very young age. Unlike his friends, he was never very tough, or strong, but managed to take his licks, and get in good with people who offered him the kind of protection on the streets that the local law enforcement would not. He was street-smart and developed a few skills to get by on the streets of Denver. The most notable of them was the ability to know when someone was trying to con him, and - despite his rather unimpressive stature - he also had a knack for picking up on just exactly what to say to put fear into someone, without relying on overt threats that he couldn't back up. That kept him from the worst of the trouble, but his life was hard before his awakening, which came without any instruction or explanation. Afterward, Erik rose quickly through the ranks. His 'abilities' - for he didn't really see them as spells - seemed to all revolve around mind-control of some sort. With effort, he could control the emotions, and even the thoughts, of those around him. While his new-found magical abilities gave him a unique edge, and made him suddenly quite a bit more valuable to the gang, they also creeped out those around him. He started taking on a bigger role in the gang, questioning people for them and keeping others in line. At one point, he was asked to make an example out of a drug dealer who had sold the gang some bad drugs, and Erik forced him to OD on his own (tainted) drugs. After that, the other members of the game started calling him "Pusher".

Ranuk is a member of the Dwarven Ressurgence Society: They dress up and pretend to be Dwarves as described by Tolkien and many other Fantasy writers. Roger BlackFeather was born to Hopi Parents living in the PCC. A dwarf amongst natives, and he really didn't fit in. He just wasn't an amerind. At a young age he was facinated by Dwarven culture, and Fantasy Trids. When he was 13 he discovered the Matrix version of the Dwarven Ressurgance Society. When he turned 15, he ran away from home, tired of trying to fit into the PCC. He had great hopes of finding a Dwarven Clan to join.. but it was not to be. What he found instead, were the Saints. And what the Saints found, was a young dwarf who had the heart of a Berzerker. He quickly fell into the role of enforcer for the Saints. By 18 he'd been blooded multiple times. Using cyber ripped out of enemy gangers Roger turned himself into a killing machine. Still, even in the Saints, he didn't quite fit in. When he found that in the UCAS there was an actual in person chapter of the Dwarven Ressurgance Society, he literally sprinted to join their ranks.

He adopted the persona of Norgal Delvin, his gang was at first worried he was leaving them. They tried to intervene, but Norgal took that.. Badly. After he beat to death a fellow ganger who questioned his loyalty to the gang, pretty much everyone backed off. The leadership had a talk with him. He could keep going to these 'meetings' and pretend to be a Dwarf, as long as he was unquestionably loyal to the Gang. That was 7 years ago.

Norgal is their go to for mayhem and death. If you piss of the Saints, it's likely Norgal will be at the charge of the retaliation. He's being sent along for this power grab, because of his unwavering willingness to slaughter the enemy.

But, once every couple of weeks, he goes off to play 'Dwarven Troll Hunter' or something, with his fellow dwarves at some campign site on the UCAS side of Colorado.

Description:

The Marquis is a tall, gaunt, ork with pale grayish/green skin, and bleached white/blonde shoulder length hair. He uses make-up to heighten his freakish features, using white powder to lighten his already pale skin, and black lipstick, eyeliner, eye shadow and mascara to maximize the contrast of his crystal blue eyes. He wears neo-Victorian Steampunk fashionable clothes that are elegant in their design and use modern materials, complemented with silver buttons, hobnails, big buckles, and lace. He uses a sterling silver skull handle cane sword as a walking stick.

Background:

Born into a middle-class suburban Denver family, he grew up as a rare single child in an ork household. His parents were regular workaholic wage-slaves that spent more time at work than paying attention to their son. As a child and teenager Cole found himself in trouble with school teachers and authorities due to his strange behavior: torturing of small animals, aggression towards classmates and other disturbing trends. His parents ignored all these early warning signs and used their corporate influences to sweep these events under the rug.
Once in college Cole drifted aimlessly, changing majors, skipping classes, partying and binge-drinking for 2 years. He studied a little Philosophy and Psychology, and learnt to speak Greek and Spanish, but he was soon failing most of his classes and kicked out. He however continued to hang around the campus selling drugs and partying. This behavior quickly spiraled down further, and Cole was soon running with a rough crowd of gangers, street pushers and pimps.

Melissa Hart, Surgeon / Doctor (L:3 C:4): a rising star in Universal OmniTech's Denver Genetics and Augmentation Division, The Marquis met Melissa in college, while she was finishing her post-Doc in Genetics. She is a strong, intelligent, beautiful and independent woman who manages a large R&D organization. Even though she has been extremely successful, and to the outside world she is an ambitious and up and coming executive, she has a dark secret: she is a classic masochist and likes to be dominated by low-life scumbags. The Marquis saw through her exterior armor while in college and got her hooked on eX and subservient role-playing. The Marquis understands that this is a woman on the verge of great things, and although treats her like shit, is careful to not completely break her, since he means to exploit her influence in the corporate world to the fullest extent possible.

Crunk, Ganger (L:1 C:2): a mean troll enforcer within the Demons go-gangers in the Warrens. One of The Marquis' first activities during the expansion into the Warzone was to make a "new friend" within the bigger gangs in the area. He chose the Demons to start his work since they were organized and the most professional of the lot. Crunk is a low-level enforcer, but has access to the senior members of the gang. Crunk is strong and ferocious, but stupid and slow; he has fallen "in love" or maybe "in lust" with on The Marquis' "dolls", an ugly, extremely fat ork whore called Mona. He has used her to lure Crunk into trusting him a little.

Carver, Tamanous Member (L:1 C:2): a human ghoul of fearsome appearance and reputation, Carver runs with a small group of ghouls that buy and sell body parts and used 'wares. The Marquis has needed to use of the Carver's services after some of his "training" sessions have gone too far, and has needed to dispose of a body.

I prefer just like in JP's game to have rolls in the IC thread. So you can just do them there.

15 sounds about right. It's your basic 2 lane street, one going each way. Not much in the way of traffic.
