Anybody who played SR1 / 2 probably remembers the "fairlight Excalibur" as the (near mythical, due to price) top of the line cyberdeck. And of course there's Arthur Vogel. This may shed some light on where those names came from...

...and if you checked out some of the old illustrations of the decks in question you'd have no doubt of their "origin" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

And Fairlights were BIG back in the mid 80's. Not quite as costly, but close.

We're just lucky Moog is vicious about trademark, or you might have read about Slam-O hacking Renraku with his Moo-G 5670...

Partly, tho my thinking was more towards micro-computers like the commodore 64 or similar. Only replace the TV out with a cable to the jack.

How could a Moog cyberdeck possibly be considered a bad idea?

I'm a child of the 80s, and a huge fan of both Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel, so the more people do to keep those memories alive is okay by me. Enjoyed both of the links in this one immensely; my thanks to you.
