Drones under their own control always get 3 IPs. It's in the BBB I think. Some jazz about "moving at digital speeds".

They don't take much initiative, they aren't able to do complex thoughts and all that, just their programming. Even Fuzzy Logic only goes so far.

Oh, wrong type of initiative. Sorry.

Man, I wish I could point you guys to a video or something of the bomb that was planted to scuttle the Starship Titanic.

It counted down from 1000, but had an AI that was easily distracted.

"1000, 999, 998, 997..."
"Excuse me, but what are you doing?"
"996, 995, I'm counting down to explosion. 994, 993..."
"Yes, but why, I mean what are you doing here?"
"992. Look, I'm trying to count. I'm here because I'm to scuttle this ship. Now where was I? Damn it. 1000. 999. 998..."

In the book, the main character stuck a radio by "him" and would check up every so often to see where he was and get him to reset. Once he almost got down to 1 and managed to get him to count up instead.

"What's 1+1?"
"Oonn-- two."
"What's 2+1?"
"Thhhhreee"
"What's 2+2?"
"Four."
"What's 3+2?"
"Five! Six! Seven, eight, nine..."

In the game it was less funny. From what I recall, the bomb had a button labeled "push to disarm" which what it did was in fact arm the bomb (the label was added to deter would-be bomb dismantlers) and just added a time limit to the game (from what I recall you couldn't get the bomb to "reset").

Hell, I'm not even sure that the bomb detonated in the game (I sure as heck don't remember it, and its only 16 minutes--it should be noted that the game is not completable in that time unless you know what you're doing).

Still a funny thing to use in a crowded theater!

Especially if it's just a Flash-Bang or Tear Gas or some other fairly harmless bomb. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)
