If you were a group trying to bring down SK and you had a dirty bomb to plant somewhere in Munich, where would you put it?

On a train to Essen, because that's where SK headquarters (and Lofwyr) are.
If i had to plant it in Munich, i wouldn't know where to do it.

I will read up my sourcebooks on the Allied German States if there's anything about big SK property and then post here.

Edit:
Here it is: A part of the city called Milbertshofen is almost completely in the hand of BMW (the car-makers), which in turn belongs to SK.
That's where i would go with a dirty bomb.

By the way, where did you get that bomb? O.o

My runners were tricked into transporting the material for it in exchange for something they plan to use as a bargaining chip. They are also going to be tricked into planting the bomb. My runners really are too trusting, and I'm having fun manipulating it.

That sounds like fun, care to let us know what happened to your players (and munich) once it's done?

If the team hacker and rigger are any good I'd put it inside a relatively inconspicuous drone and give them that. Something like a modded GMC Sandal or Chariot would be ideal, size of the bomb permitting. After all, one of the beauties of working with drones is the simple fact that a "suicide bombing" might only set you back 10k instead of a teammate, and that's including a couple of similar drones to run as decoys.

For better dispersal, you'd want to put it as high as possible, perhaps on the roof of a parking garage.

Downwind. And you might want a nice Air Spirit to make sure the wind doesn't shift.

QFT. I once tricked my group into thinking they had a sweet, easy 'Run going on that went downhill because the Johnson was so "Careless" and was working off the stereotypes that happened on the 'Trid.

They were actually dealing with quite the expert, and never did see the second part of the payment. 'Course, that's a traditional one, I'll admit.

With 2070 tech, a dirty won't be a corporation-destroying disaster : with nanotech, genefixing and the like, nobody important is going to die of it unless they were at ground zero. Especially if the bomb is man (or even troll) portable. These things aren't killers, they're terror weapons.

What you will get is a complete disruption followed by a really expensive decontamination of the city and exposed peoples (fine-combing every nook and cranny of an office tower's air conditioning systems is expensive...). Which will get you a very, very pised dragon wanting the head of whatever moron did it. A lot of insurance companies are probably going to be very pissed too. And don't expect them to be nice when they'll ask you about why you planted the bomb and where you managed to find the materials...

I'm really hoping my runners are smart enough to NOT take out a few hundred thousand people to save their own asses, but if they are that foolish, I'll let ya know.

Hey, I was the most paranoid of the game, I'm actually talking about CTM and Pedro as the oblivious trusting shadowrunners.

CanRay, could you elaborate?

My group met a contact that, as they actually Role Played with him, ended up with some decent Loyalty despite the short time they knew him. "Paddy" an Elf with the IRA-In-Exile chapter for Seattle. He was a procurement specialist (Fixer of sorts), whose hobby was explosives.

One of those explosives was the result of him getting his hands on a city bus for something that never happened, and trying to figure out what to do with it. He also got his hands on some tanks of propane that ended up not being needed either.

Well, one problem solved the other, put a blow-up sex doll with a bus driver's hat duct taped to it's head in the driver's seat, sealed the bus air tight, and set up the propane tanks to open on a remote timer. Then started working on math as to when the proper time would be to set off a detonator. An Improvised Fuel-Air Explosive.

Me saying, "I got a bus." in my bad Irish accent, was his usual suggestion to any problem they had.

And I just realized I never answered the question...

OK. The group had been hired to hack into Lone Star's personnel files and had found out about a "Back Door" security hole that could be exploited by the Mr. Johnson: Squad Cars. They had lower security that Matrix Connections and were easier to get into than, say, a squad house. However, Lone Star equipped their officers with either cybernetic Biomonitors, or incorporated them into the uniforms/body armor, and if they both went down dead or unconscious, the connection was instantly cut.

So, to ensure that not too many officers showed up, they decided to use the bus as a distraction, driving it to Council Island and all the embassies there, with anonymous tips galore from every terrorist group they could find on the Matrix-type thing. (IIRC, at least.).

Then hired the Halloweeners to hit the border of Bellevue and the Redmond Barrens (Big mistake), and waited for the cop car to show up.

Hilarity ensured.

And by hilarity, I mean Molotov Cocktails.

I just watched The Bank Job, with Jason Statham. Great training film for shadowrunning: thing to do, things not to do.

I mention this because in one scene, one of the captured robbers has his leg abraded by a sandblaster to extract info from him. Cool idea. Never saw that one before.

Even with 2011 tech, a dirty bomb explosion isn't even that big of a deal except for those at ground zero. They are indeed intended more as psychological weapons to sow hysteria among the populace than actual lethal weapons. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Actually, I'm surprised I'm allowed to fly at times. Which I had to do far too often due to family emergencies back home. Then again, domestic flight and the Canadian "No Fly List" isn't supposed to be as bad, even if the only way you can find out if you're on it is to try to fly and waste time and money.

And possibly losing out on the chance to say "Good-Bye" to a dying loved one and some freedom which should never have gotten take away. Both of which are far more valuable.
