I think that we should begin by putting someone in charge of the group, that way things will get rolling. I think that it should be one of the face/inpector/detective types, but that's just me. So I would go for either James Connor or Hans. If my character has something to say about it, she trusts mundanes better than mages, even if they're deckers.

As for leadership, I have a small tactical groups leadership rating of 4.

Hans has no leadership type skills. He'll take the job if he's asked to, but he'd never seek it out.

Rick has leadership 4, as well as ettiquette. He's more of a combat leader than a detective though. A question I wanted to ask is, what are our salaries? Since we are regular corp employees, we should be getting a bi-weekly salary rather than getting paid on a per-task basis like runners.

Connor has no real leadership skills, though I suppose negotiation is not a bad substitute. A 149lb elf leading a team of meaty trolls, stocky dwarves and muscular orks though...

First question would be, who has negotiation or psychology skills? We have a hostage situation and we need intelligence. (as in recon, not as in disrespecting trolls - I am not that brave...)

Connor is a charismatic negotiator / infiltrator depending on the situation. What other relevant skill-sets do people have? (I am not intentionally taking over, just trying to view the options - I am a strategist, not a tactician...)

Carlos isn't a leader by any means. Fortunately, he does have the stunball spell, which should be very useful here. I assume knocking the hostages unconscious is alright?

So, should we appoint Rick leader for the purpose of this mission? Ex-SWAT would make sense given the nature of Asgard (though I am worried IC by the "And is there any specific reason for wanting not to kill them?" question)

Well, in hostage situations the police don't generally worry about not killing the hostage takers, and that's in real life. Imagine what it would be like in the future. I'm just wondering whether he wants them for interrogation. Anyway, I think having 2 leaders would be good. I could be the leader for combat purposes, while someone else, maybe Connor, could be the leader for doing legwork and other non-combat stuff.

Can a viper slivergun be loaded with gel rounds, or only flechette?

Depends on whether we are using the SR definition of flechette or the real-life one. Can we get confirmation on that?

Also, do we know each other or will the scene in 'The Van' be the introductions?

The general idea accross the forum is that it only fires flechette, but that is up to Kagetenshi.

Firewall, if your character is talking IC, could you please put quotes around it so we know its verbal?

I think we got to know each other during the rigorous selection process. Who is our decker anyway? In fact, Kage, can you post a list of the players, the characters they play, and their archetypes?

I made a mistake. I've only got 2 Strato-9s, not 3. The third drone is a spider drone (the spy).

That would be me, Connor. Looking at the other squads, I am a perfect Loki archetype; negotiation / infiltration and a decker too. Mind you, I suppose Tyr needed a Loki-style decker to balance out the Thor-style big guns.

Kara's a leader by Intimidation type, she's got Leadership at 2, but the knowledge that she wouldn't hesitate to shoot a member of her team for insubordination was what kept them in line. Mind you, she has no desire to lead right now.

Notable also, she's made no effort to re-load her Thunderbolts, or any of her pistols for that matter. The big boys said "alive if possible" that doesn't mean uninjured. Kara'd definitly be an Odin type.

Kara is an Odin-style, Connor is a Loki-style and Grey is a Thor-style. So what is Tyr's over-riding theme? Are we the balance, the more flexible team?

Mine too. Or maybe we actually can investigate.
I've got Negotiation specialized in fast talk, and psychology, but I'll play second chair for the negotiations of you're better than I am. Of course, if they're trogs, I'll do the talking :)

Had leftover cash, and forgot to buy a means of contact. Would it be a big issue if I bought Kara a cell?

Might want to tag "Gun-fu" specialist on there for Kara... she's notably an adept...

You see, we knew so little about one another. I have learned that we have an adept and a shaman and 'Beast' has learned who the decker is. Anyone else want to correct my mistakes, feel free. That is just what I can make out from the character description thread and this OOC thread.
