10 BP debt isn't a thing. It's called In-debt and at level 2 gives you 10k (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) and 10BP |

I assume you have to use a 'real' Middle or better: 5000*100. Not that permanent lifestyles and the selling thereof are actually part of the game. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Who does that?

I don't really see the point of scouring the rules for dubious loopholes. The game gives you a ton of options to adjust your starting resources, legally. With fame, day job, and trust fund, you can play someone who runs for the fun of it, because he sure doesn't sweat where his next meal is coming from. Or you can play a made man with black market pipeline, if you prefer to play a budding fixer. Or, if you just want to cram all the 'ware into your character that you can, you can get born rich, genetic heritage, and maxed-out in debt, giving you 330,000 nuyen and some nice geneware on top of it.
If someone found some dodgy way to get two and a half million nuyen at char-gen, I would simply say "Okay, fine, you win Shadowrun. This guy takes his money and goes off to a tropical island to retire. Let's see your next character." |

I didn't even realize it was possible for the GM to kill a character concept by granting the player's wish, but now I do know it's possible. I also know it's funny as hell (funny hell, not the bad one. Just so we're clear). |
