I didn't mention this (http://www.popsci.com/technology/article/2011-04/police-and-firefighters-us-get-tiny-throwable-recon-robot) little rolling camera drone when I saw it, because they said it was old news. It's basically an iSpy.
But this (http://www.tek-bull.com/2011/05/throwbot-anti-pirate-ship-robot.html) one was new: they're saying it can be shot from a cannon, and then magnetically scale the side of a ship. Neat! Sometimes I think we're spoiled by our micro-sized flying surveillance drones in SR4. These little guys have some real retro style, amirite? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) In other news, I want a cannon for launching SR drones, please. |
