All we need now are RFID tags in all retail items so that we won't even need cashiers and just have self checkout lines in all stores.

Yea, i recall reading that wal-mart demanded all their suppliers to use RFID product tags to ease logistics.

Yeah, those things never work. The get abused badly and aren't shock-proofed enough for the average consumer to deal with.
At least the ones I've had experience with. Me, I like to use a teller. Even if I do have to deal with the hassle of dealing with a minimum wage drone (And all that entails), it's better than the person being relegated to the street or dole. |
