Stat block: Looks like I failed to include his Immunity to Age, Poisons, and Pathogens in his Qualities. Human error on my part. I apologize if it caused any confusion.
Oh, nothing to worry about, I'm sure you will include the corrections into the next official errata Jason puts up, and the confusion will be cleared shortly.

would YOU like to try and call out the Big D for example? o.O
Well, Big D was called out when he posted on Shadowland, remember? Someone WTFed full-on.
Then again, Orange Queen was called out by her shaman ex-follower, etc.

Things are at the point where authors (apparently, Neurosis included) just post errata on the official boards ... also, the product seems to have been very rushed. Not the authors to blame this time, I'm afraid, but the usual suspects.

Yeah, but later, discussions like:

>[spooky metaplot relevant story]
>1timep0st3r
>You know, this remembers me when you way back did that thing with the thing, you know? The black one.
>The Laughing Man
>It's not nearly the same, this thing is far less dangerous than the black thing back then at the place.
>Lady of the Court
>And you would know everything about the thinga nd the place. Have a bottle of milk on me, baby. Of course it's such a thing, it's the same thing in fact.
>Hecate
>How do you know that?
>Miss Tick
>Because I'm awesome.
>Hecate
>LOL *rolleyes*
>Orange Queen
> Hands up who thinks Blue Bacosoy is the shit!
>Bung

Became awfully common in the end.

Yeah, I know, though then they added Plan 9 and /dev/, resident experts on spy technology. Because Gadgeteers like Mika and Hard Exit just don't cut it. Shadowland, in TT, made an appropriatly big deal out of the Big D, too.

Plan 9, for all his far out ideas, does occasionally hit the point on some things. He's also an "Out Of The Box" thinker. Of course, he's also an "Out Of Sanity" thinker...

/dev/grrl yeah, I'm with most folks about her. But, well, I get the feeling that FastJack is looking at his age and is hunting a proper protege. /dev/grrl might just be that person.

Yeah, and he is so out of the box he puts conspiracy theories in the gear section. Because that's how we want our gear sections: needlessly cluttered. And it makes perfect sense to hand descriptions of the equipment many runners put their life on to the loon with the tinfoil hat and the hello kitty fangirl (whose stressing that runners generally can't do fashion is an annoyance in itself, as is 'nanopase sucks because it makes me look fat').

To be fair, most of the people on the JackPoint consider T-Shirt and Synthdenim jeans, or combat fatigues to be the height of fashion. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

Kat O'Nine Tales, however, could have done a much better job, yes.

Grumbling turned on to eleven again, I see.
Really, when the stats are detached from the descriptions given IC, and even some item names don't match between the stat blocks and the IC text, do you really have to complain about the presentation once more?

I think she is in there to remind us all how long the storyline have been going. Hell, Slamm-o started out as a kid with a talent back in SR2-3.

Oh and i love her line on page 120: "SmartFrames? SKs? Never mind. I don’t want to know." I can see this confused kid sitting next to a table, quickly glancing from one person to the next, and being utterly confused about the topic. Hell, i have real life experience of something similar when listening to my grandfathers generation talking about their daily life. It is a very good reminder of the generation gap that comes with rampant technological change.

Actually, on the other forum, we're having a discussion on pre-teens gaming, and it's degenerated into a "Back in my day" at times.

EDIT: I'm glad I don't have to deal with this personally, but there are times I wish I did as well.

New question; Tommy Talon has a spirit that has a bike as a form? Did I miss something? I would have sworn they could not do this but can't find any rules against it. Gives me some really neat ideas though. Never have to worry about not having a ride. Would you still need the pilot ground vehicle skill as the spirit would be the one in control?

It was in one of the novels.

And he has to "Fuel" it with Long Island Ice Teas.

It is an ALLY Spirit, is it not? They can have alternate forms.

I know Ally spirits can have alternate forms I just "thought" they could not take the form of a bike or car. Guess I was wrong. I am not against it I was just curious. Like I said I like the idea of a mage always having a car no matter where he is. Even better if the spirit has a Rolls Royce form for high society functions and a muscle car for every day work.

I remember reading something (can't rmember if it was a Novel, a piece of Fluff or what) about a very important personage with a High Force Ally Spirit that had "Yacht" as one of its forms. It was entertaining.

A really evil mage could leave his ally on the street in car form in the barrens and watch the fun when the car jackers try and steal it. Even better the spirit could let them get in then jack them.

Lots of folks reacted like that when Tommy when wizzing around on his spirit in the novels (over ten years ago), too. Tommy's unique relationship with his ally spirit had always been kind of a big part of what fans knew about him, so really Street Legends had no choice but to at least comment on it (and I especially liked Snopes' initial response, myself, as it mimics so many actual forum posts that the idea had garnered).

Personally? I've thought of it as a modification of the Movement power with a colorful description, and didn't mind it too much as a bike, or a horse, or a skateboard, or even a convertible what-have-you. Once someone tries to make a fully enclosed vehicle, though? Turning their ally into a stretch limo or a sporty coupe? Then you run into stickiness about Immunity, armor, etc.

Keep it open faced so folks can still take shots against the mage, and I think it can just be a cool way to describe the spirit and save some nuyen on a vehicle.

It was in "Wolf and Raven". Kid Stealth handled the issue in the way he traditionally handled everything major: High Explosives.

Works for me. The spirit has to move you in one way or another. In "Ye Olde Dayes" there were many tales of spirit horses and such, so why not an "Iron Horse"?
