Oh, they're fun enough, I liked them too, but there should have been a more WTF reaction from other posters. I mean, what would we do if a group of people (who really are Hillary Clinton, George W. Bush, Nicholas Sarcozy, Pope Benedict, Kim Jong Il, and Hu Jintao) would enjoy their in-jokes all over Dumpshock? Sure. Because format is more easily corrected than rewriting an entire section (copypaste the conspiracies into an X-Files chapter made up of conspiracy thjeories and extraplanar intelligence, for instance, takes mere seconds).

Oh and i love her line on page 120: "SmartFrames? SKs? Never mind. I don’t want to know." I can see this confused kid sitting next to a table, quickly glancing from one person to the next, and being utterly confused about the topic. Hell, i have real life experience of something similar when listening to my grandfathers generation talking about their daily life. It is a very good reminder of the generation gap that comes with rampant technological change.

I was referring to her being the voice to narrate the last two gear sections, not a comment on SKs (which, while a bit presumptive, wouldn't be that bad).

To try to get this back on track, I'm a little disappointed more of them didn't have martial arts, and none of them used it effectively. Serrin Shamandar has a couple of levels in Carromoleg (with the benefits improperly called maneuvers), Thorn has three random advantages with no source listed (and no maneuvers), and Miles Lanier has a nice bit of power gaming through some boxing advantages.

But that's it. No one uses maneuvers, the best of which are a hell of a lot better than the advantages, and some of the samurai types are missing some good character opportunities, like Sticks with Arnis de Mano and some weapon/disarm maneuvers that would fit the character's combat concept nicely.
