Duct tape a switchblade to that sucker and you got three limbs in a knife fight! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Assuming you mean tail's in general, the Thagomizer is already a weapon tail, and some of the other tails would just be painful targets.

Yeah, not so much a fan of the tail augmentations in general. At least the Surge tails you can write off as being "inflicted" with it, but I can't think of anyone (other then furries at least) that would want a tail augmentation. And even then, it would be a custom design and not outwardly mechanical.

Other augmentations are better, and don't stand out. They also don't (possibly) get in the way of intricate gymnastics routines.

I have quite a bit of disdain for the fury creep in and I'm happy it's been mostly downplayed but I do like the tranhuman aspects where they explore things like a tail modification. An extra limb, especially a fully articulated tail, could be really handy in some situations and professions, of course an independently tracking extra pair of arms/hands would be even more so and might see wider adoption, of course for things like that to work they'd have to drop some fo the cyber is weird/fringe stance.

At least a minority would have to be "It looks easy on the trids, I've got my silver cross, my wooden stakes and garlic - that's good enough, right?" - not realising that they're imitation silver, plaswood and soy, respectively.

"You live and learn, or you don't live long." -- Lazarus Long

As I said elsewhere, it's not a very forgiving profession.

The Guild, as I envision it (and, to be honest, I was hoping to see more reactions than just one person's before doing much with it), is mostly a mutual support network and not some formal organization of vampire hunters. As such, the membership's going to vary considerably in terms of skill and ability. If it were a formal organization, there'd be formal standards for admission, and for the most part, there really aren't. That's why it's a loose band at the moment.

This is not to say that de Vries doesn't have a smaller, better-trained cadre that he himself calls on for help, since I think he does. A Guild within a Guild, as it were. That might be a much more formidable organization, I'd think.

Dunno. Have to see how it shakes out.

The vast superiority of most type 1 infected over the population makes me think they'd have to be group-fighters or something, drilled to work as a team. The good ones, anyway.

Depends on the hunter and what kind of augmentations, adept powers, or what-have-you, said hunter possesses. Also, training.

But as you point out, teamwork is the best approach to this sorta thing.

I've got a piece, that if I ever get it in will touch briefly on at least one guild member. Pre street legends she was just to be someone Devries could call in a particular locale, but with Street legends pointing out what kind of resources he can call on it kind of opened my eyes.

The character in question is a security consultant and while not a vampire hunter herself is sympathetic to the cause and highly trusted. She helps build Devries network and will hire the players on his behalf. I won't say more for fear of spoilers.

Also equipment and training with said. As someone else points out as often as I comment about Bubba the Love Troll: "Drones Go In First". Can't infect a piece of machinery.

"I am a not-for-profit organization." - Captain

Honestly, I write at speed of thought, and sometimes my thoughts get jumbled. Sometimes they speak all at the same time and it gets a little crazy and I have to tell myself "Hey, one at a time!" despite all the thoughts being my own. Sometimes they don't use an indoor voice. That's the worst, as it gives me a headache, and I usually have one from beginning of the day 'til the end, so it just makes things worse.

I'm good at research and making logical conclusions and leaps of inspiration. The rest... I'm about average.
