I may have asked this before & just can't find the thread. For those of us who lack artistic skills or friends like Squinky... what do you use as art to help represent or describe your character so everyone knows what they are seeing?

Honestly, there are tons of variants if you search online. I've found posted pics all across the webs for characters that i could easily use. Or think of something similar that someone might draw (a cyberzombie I designed, for example, was stealth based in many ways, so I typed in variations of "cyber ninja" until I found several that I liked). THere's dozens that could work for you chief.

Yeah, but DeviantArt needs a disclaimer: There are a handful of great artists on there, a massive amount of mediocre to downright awful artists, and some artists that will make you ask, "why, dear $DEITY, WHY?".

Deviantart is still my own go-to site for this sort of thing, and while the excellent art is in short supply, it *does* exist.

Make sure that your malware software is up to date, however, as they're terribly bad about screening their ad banners and the like.

Are those posts for good stuff, or for weird stuff?

As far as graphic design stuff goes, I feel like i can manipulate fairly well, but i cant create wholly new product. I love doing me some colorizations (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The 3 listed deviantart links gave me some good character pics. Thanks. I am still looking for more, for NPC's and other scenes. If you know of any, lemme know.

I love Hero Machine. I used it for all characters in this document (I had to use a high PDF compression due to limited webspace).

This site or I photoshop some pictures of people who look like the character.

My GF creates her characters in The Sims 3 and ask me to photoshop what she can't add in the game.
