I've been working on a lot of Shadowrun stuff over the past few months, pulling it together and I pulled out the first issue of the Dumpshock Datahaven. When Bull moved on to Missions Coordinator it fell by the wayside. I'd like to pick it up again and put out at least 1 issue (after one I may run away screaming in horror and pass the buck to the next crazy shocker...). I'm also a bit of a realist about schedules, scope and time frames so I'd like to lay out a target date of Christmas time for publication, though I would consider a scaled back publication sooner if it all came together; Size to be determined.
So a schedule would look something like this: 09/15 - Submission ideas due 10/15 - Rough drafts & sketches due 11/01 - Initial layout formulated; 11/15 - Final drafts and images due; Fillers identified 12/01 - Fillers due 12/07 - Final review 12/15 - Publish So that brings me to submissions: Fiction, articles, art, faux advertizing. Send them to redjack (at) dumpshock.com |

I'd love to snag the original issue, but the ling in the important links sticky just takes you to the Dumpshock main page. Searching on either site doesn't turn up anything either. Can you help me out? I have a few article ideas, but I really prefer to look at past work first to get an idea of how things were done. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/question.gif)

Also, no offense to Bull, but I have a little more experience with layout so I'll be updating that.

Aku - You bet. That will give me three proof-readers.
warrior_allanon - PM sent. [its redjack (at) dumpshock.com] All - We are now on the 1 month countdown for submissions. I would be happy to close the deadline early if I get enough submissions. |

I've got a couple of vignettes I posted on DS a while back. 850 or so words each. Is this something you could use?

I was under the impression that the DDH already had an issue 2 and 3 basically finished that stalled out. I was part of Issue 1 but wasn't invited back for the others, so my data is obviously out of date.

Bull is trying to find the submissions that were placed on the back burner for later issues, but he has not located those yet... To that end, I am still taking submissions having only received a couple to this point. I will keep to the above time line, even if it means a light issue just to keep to the schedule. Feel free to submit/resubmit as you feel appropriate.

Would love to contribute, but am not sure how. Is there anything you would need (writing-wise) to fill in the publication?

RJ: if you are interested in locations/maps I would be willing contribute.
Edit: could even add an adventure framework... Sort of mini-adventure with maps. |

I've got a couple ideas for the black market, and maybe a Horizon ad, I just need to get a chance to discuss the the new drugs with my resident power gamer to get his opinion, and actually make the Horizon ad, if you want in-universe ads.

Method/ggodo - Those are all great ideas. Email them to me. I'm still finalizing content for issue #2. If the adventure was in the Puyalllup Barrens, that would be a big plus.
Edit: Horizon ad is great. Any ads from underworld sources, like vendors in the Crime Mall would be fitting to the issue even more! |

Maybe not fitting for this issue but I have a whole bunch of stuff related to medicine (drugs, skills, qualities, equipment, etc) that I was thinking of submitting to Catalyst as a proposal for a PDF supplement. Not sure if I have the time or will to see that through (or if there is any interest among SR players) but maybe some of that could be cannibalized into a future issue of DDH.
