The Propulsion Upgrade (Flying) upgrade takes up 8 upgrade slots, yet dont weapons only have like 6 upgrade slots?
How does that work? |

That's how the US legislature works. One writer wanted the dumb mod in, and another didn't. Instead of overruling the first one, he just made it unfundable. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
It also requires a Facility and costs about quadruple what a heavily modded gun costs, so you're better off just getting a small drone in the first place. |

It does say somewhere that the number of mod slots a certain weapon has is never set in stone, maybe a massive anti material rifle will have comparatively more slots than a holdout pistol?

But a huge gun would require even larger flight mods. Yes, the GM has full control, but that's true about all aspects of the game. It is a pretty silly oversight. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

There are none. Everything has 6, except the GM can say otherwise.

Eh. Overmodding, i guess.
It counts for vehicles, should count for weapons too (I am too lazy to look for it) Rule say: "Ask your GM. Gm may allow overmodding at his/her conditions" I like that rule. Allows you to slow down, weigh down, make unreliable etc. The stuff the players come up with... and they gladly accept it for layering on more armor, more speed, etc. |

Seriously, though. Buy a Roto-Drone (2000¥) and a Weapon Mount, or a LEBD. (No, an Optic-X is too small, you munchkins. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) )

My 1mm microdrone with 1 body can EASILY fire a LMG with no recoil whatsoever, and I don't care what you say to the contrary. |

In all seriousness though...
You'd basically have to Overmod to get it, and you're better off using a flying drone with a weapon mount. Or have the gun possessed with a Called spirit. |

It can lie there and look menacing though. Arguably even fire itself, if it doesn't have purely electronic ignition through Skinlink/DNI. Just like a possessed statue can't walk. |

It can if it's a Spirit of Man with the Levitate spell, or a Free Spirit with the Levitate spell. That's why I said Calling and not Summoning.

It's not RAW or legal (whatever the difference between those is), because the SR4A says 'down'. Arsenal loses. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif) Hehe.
You and your calling! Oy. |

It's even illegal without SR4A trumping Arsenal. A microdrone can only take microdrone modifications. a weapon mount is a standard modification.
QUOTE ('Arsenal p. 131') Size and Type: Each modification is either a microdrone, minidrone, standard, or all modification. Microdrones can only be equipped with microdrone modifications; minidrones can only be equipped with microdrone and minidrone modifications; all other drones and vehicles can only be equipped with standard modifications. All means that the modifi cation is available for all vehicle sizes. People tend to overlook that rule. |

Fine fine, we'll do it with a Ferrett.

Fine fine, we'll do it with a Ferrett. No minidrones, either. Standard modifications are for small drones and larger, if you ignore SR4A stating "round down", of course. I tend to do that, because weapon mounts are way more detailed in "Arsenal". It consumes a lot of slots for something better than a fixed mount anyway. It's more expensive most of the time, too, and there's a new suggested rule for recoil compensation. Just too many differences for me. Back on topic: Overmodding is the only chance to do it, yes. |

Also it has been "round down" in SR4 without A as well. The rules in Arsenal explicitly say that the weapon mount modification replaces the one from the BBB.

I just don't understand what's wrong with the MCT Roto or the LEDB. There's no *need* to cheat.
