Nothing to really get (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It's just young! Twilight playing with young! Rarity and hiding out in a fort of books (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Season 2 starts in a couple days. Excited?

A bit, yes.

Just a question... When did you guys become pre-teen girls?

This is Dumpshock! We're supposed to be figuring out the Ghoulpocalypse and shooting people in the face for money!

Don't question Celestia Can. Just don't.

More seriously, there's no harm in enjoying a cartoon, and there's further no harm in enjoying a cartoon that is well written, intelligent, and doesn't talk down to little girls or exist solely to sell little girls ponies. My wife is crazy into horses and was a crazy MLP fan when she was younger, and this show has done nothing but impress her, especially with lots of little nods to the original show.

Plus, like I was just saying - the show is intelligent. It's well written. The characters aren't stereotypes and actually have flaws. One character shows that it's absolutely fine to be a little spacey and air-headed, because you're just smart in a way no one else is. Or to enjoy being a frilly girl, because that doesn't stop you from being a badass. Or to enjoy doing boyish things, but still being a girl. Or being smart, because that doesn't stop you from being a fun and interesting person. Or being shy and socially awkward, but still a capable person. Or being gay (this is a joke - or is it?).

Or you could just sum it up by reading this.

Three neat things about MLP: Friendship is Magic
1. Created by Lauren Faust, voice of Frankie from Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends and wife of Craig McCracken, he of Powerpuff Girls fame
2. The fandom is amazingly fun and inventive (with the usual caveats)
3. Hasbro is completely cool with you watching it online. Full episodes are streaming on their website, you can buy them on iTunes, or you can watch them (again: full episodes) on Youtube.

OK, I apologize. If there actually is a show out there with intelligence, and doesn't talk down to kids in any way, I'm for it!

'Course, I'll have to watch it myself to make my own opinion. And that, well, not going to happen anytime soon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/frown.gif)

Kinda ironic that at the end of the article referenced above, there is an ad showing two 'babes' and offering the opportunity to "meet attractive local singles."

That's pretty much what NoScript does for me. Blocks any and all scripts on my firefox browser that I don't whitelist.

Pic not related.

Oh my god. I haven't logged in to Dumpshock in months, and when I come back what do I find? A thread about ponies.

(Do you see all the complaining I'm not doing? Do you?)

(I spend far too much time on 4chan, if you hadn't already noticed.)
