Some people prefer the more mature and distinguished lady. Plus, a lady needs a little heft to be able to manage an M-60 effectively.

Oh, I agree that Luna is the cuter sister... but there's something about a girl who knows her way around a minigun. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

She needs a LAW or something. Grenades are fine in their way, but missiles are where it's at.

LAWs are so last century! You need javelins or AT4s! Go Big or go home! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I didn't quite like that episode, really.

It kind of highlights Rarity's hypocrisies.

She treats Spike like a servant, expecting him to shift mountains despite her being an order of magnitude more physically capable than him, and having telekinesis to boot. We wouldn't want your horn to get sweaty when you can just make Spike do it, right?!

What's worse is that Rarity knows - she bloody knows - that Spike has a massive crush on her. This is the equivalent of a 20-something woman using a 14-year-old boy who has a huge hard-on for her as essentially free labor, batting her eyes and smiling sweetly at him because she knows he'll do anything if she strings him along enough to convince him he might have a ghost of a chance of scoring with her. In fact, it may be literally that; Spike was hatched when Twilight was a young filly, so he's probably a teenager by now.

So, yeah. Rarity is shitty to Spike, and worse, because of the show's targeted audience (as opposed to this audience,) she's being held up as a role model for young girls. "Go ahead and string boys along with the vauge possibility of sex in exchange for making them use their sweaty boy-bodies to do things you don't want to get your girly self sweaty doing. It's okay! They're boys, their feelings are irrelevant until they turn into starring quarterbacks!"

And then at the end of the episode, she has another fucking melt-down. After having learned a valuable lesson about how friends are more important than success, not to mention quite a bit about honesty... She fucking reneges on a deal. She promised an exorbitant favor to the stage director of Hinny of the Hills in exchange for getting his crew to put on a private performance just for her friends and her - she promised that she, the well-known and successful dressmaker Rarity, would make all of the costumes for the next production. Then she goes and foists off on him somepony else's sacked assistant!

That stage director should pretty much be ready to torch down the Carousel Boutique, or worse - sue her reneging plot for fraud and breach of contract!

I...totally forgot applying overly rational thought to pony tends to make braincells implode ^_^

That and I'm wondering if I should start watching Season 4. I hear the show's gotten a bit weird since Twilight's Alicornication
