REALLY Sensitive throat and neck.
Can't even wear shirts with tight head hole. Turtle-Neck-Sweaters are RIGHT the fuck out. I even have to be carefull with backpacks when they have wide shoulder straps. I get panic attacks and/or barf when i get something against my neck/throat <.< And i can't tie one, which i probably could learn if i did not have that problem. And it does not fit my fashion style either, and i am not changing that any time soon. |

Ahh... Yes that would pretty much rule out normal tie usage.
However with a bit of sewing skills, you could also modify the tie in question, removing the excess length and attach a clip on or simple pin feature like that used for a button pin to the back of the now shortened tie, so it could clip onto the front of the shirt collar, not sure if this might still be too close to the sensitive region or the pin could hold it on just below the region on the front of the shirt. At first glance few would realize it was not anything other than a regular tie and would allow for easy removal/changing.
