QUOTE (Aria @ Sep 30 2011, 08:37 AM) *
She's an eGhost created in the Stillwater UV node (Emerging games)...killed by mercs she is hunting them to find the truth about her assassination. She needs to fund her hunt and she was a former shadowrunner (although she doesn't remember that...). She has a mixed relationship with humanity - she craves contact with them but also blames them for her current state. It doesn't strike me as too much of a leap to assume she'd take cash to hunt down the dregs of society...?!?

Alrighty then that sounds like a good reason. You have your AI character (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

@Aria

Well it looks good so far. I am not too familiar with how A.I. works in chargen, but I trust you won't try to bamboozle me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nyahnyah.gif)

@Everyone Else

So let me get this straight, the characters playing are as follows:

-a AI hacker
-a pistols/unarmed adept
-a melee bounty hunter
- and whatever Seth decides to do, we will probably need some sort of magic support. It is up to him really

True, I have been toying with the idea of not allowing magicians for this campaign. Adepts are fine, but I have never been too fond of magicians...damn stunbolts...

Here's the (currently unfinished) sheet for Jasper, former corporate problem-solver turned bounty hunter.

And the downside to that is...

This kept bouncing around in my mind and finally sold me on the "uncouth" quality. I'm going swap out Oblivious and Thrill Seeker for it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

An Ingram White Knight beats a stun bolt hands down. My most versatile and dangerous characters are actually cybered not maged.... Dealer for instance is very very dangerous, and there are few mages that are close to that level of deadliness (I don't think any of mine are)

Edit:
OK I was looking to see what we have covered. I agree I need a mage. I'll post something tomorrow (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Well I have been torn about making a mage, and decided that given we have an AI along, wouldn't it be fun to have a free spirit as well! If you struggle with the idea FriendBot (or any others), just say so, and I'll go with a much more traditional idea.

Its not they can rock any more than a sammy/face/hacker...its that they can do ALL of it on the cheap, and still have bonus tricks left over.

It was more a joke though. I don't think I've ever seen an SR group sans mage(s). The economics don't make sense...but meh. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/scatter.gif)

Don't get that comment:
Samurai's / Riggers / Hacker regularly run around with 200K+ equipment, and could get serious cash working elsewhere (hackers especially).
Shadowrunning is one of the few things that you can do if you don't have and/or don't want a SIN

One weird team (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Love it!

Friendbot: I know you said you were going to use this thread for OoC but I think it would be handy to link the characters here in the 2072 OoC post 2?!? Assuming that's ok I'll try and get to that after the weekend...

Yeah sure, no problem. Also is there anyway we can link the character sheets to the "Characters" section of 2072 OOC?

@Fox
May I suggest getting another level of wired reflexes? I think you would benefit from 3 INI Passes
Also, are you sure you want the Athletics skill group AND dodge? You have them both at the same rating and you can use gymnastics as a dodge option instead of the skill Dodge. I would raise one of your combat skills by the 2 points of dodge.

OK, I know I'm probably too late here, but I thought I'd throw in this character as a potential bounty hunter, if for nothing else to give you guys a laugh. He was designed for a PbP game here on DS based on the Artifacts series, a game that died pretty quickly I'm sad to say. So, there are references in the background below to Lagos that would have to change, and he would need a bit of reworking to fit this game's chargen rules. This guy would certainly stir things up in the group.

Given we don't want PvP (or at least I don't)...I guess it's an angel. As it happens my home plane is heaven (the Rastafarian heaven).
