I'm currently running a Shadowrun PBP game via Facebook. I've been playing Shadowrun, both online and IRL, for a long time and I've gotten to know the 3rd Edition system very well. If you're interested in joining and you already have a facebook account, simply Click Here and leave a message with your character concept. 3rd Edition rules will be used.

[IMPORTANT] This campaign will be very low powered to start. You will not be creating a standard character for this game, I want a character concept from you first, then we will work together on the stats. The basic idea for the campaign is the players are just starting a gang. The players will be responsible for improving the gang's reputation, choosing a leader, choosing colors, improving territory, getting supplies, and protecting the base. Expect lots of petty theft, turf wars, and the like.

Out of curiosity; why run it on facebook instead of DSF?

Mainly because we started it on FB, its convenient and FB will allow me to post via text messages.
Also, with the players in a FB group, I can post separate documents for each character sheet, RP scene, OOC chatter, and whatever else, while still keeping them all grouped together for easy reference.

I've tried getting a game started on Google Wave, but most people are unfamiliar and unwilling. Even though the wave system seems really cool for PBP.

Quick questions : How long do your games usually last? How long has this current game been going on?

Depends on interest and participation. Current game has been in active play since the end of July. Current RL game has been running for 1 year now.

Alright. I'm interested. Would it be cool if I play the younger (and thus far less powerful) version of a character? They've got a history with gangs in their youthier youth.

Absolutely. I'd love an up and coming street urchin type. Write up a concept and send it to the FB account. I'll add you to the group.

Alright, I've sent you a concept/back story for the character on a character FB.
