Here is what we're planning (hopefully Gencon will get it right)
Thursday 16:00 - 20:00 Mission Briefing 20:00 - 00:00 Demolition Run Friday 16:00 - 20:00 Demolition Run 16:00 - 20:00 FORCE-d RECON 20:00 - 00:00 Mission Briefing Saturday 12:00 - 16:00 Mission Briefing 12:00 - 16:00 A Dark & Stormy Night 16:00 - 20:00 Double Cross (story arc premier) Sunday 00:00 - 04:00 A Dark & Stormy Night 08:00 - 12:00 Double Cross As you can see, an emphasis is placed on the intro adventures to pull in as many new players as possible. the big event is Saturday from 4-8pm, so make sure you have that free - we are scheduling 8 tables for this event (but it also runs on sunday for those that miss saturday night's main event) I have done every effort to make the events not conflict with the big Shadowrun tournament, which was everyone's favorite excuse for not playing last year for the big finale. Some of these will conflict with the other SR adventures, but there's only so many opportunities to play/run. |

Which GenCon is this for? How do I get in on this?
I'm thinking of going to Indy but haven't made up my mind yet. |

As an SR Commando, I'm more than willing to help out as I can. But I've got a full plate with the Tourney and the one-shots that I'm running so I don't know how often I'll be available.

I'll be there to play, depending on the schedule for the D&D Open (Which is what I judge every year) I don't get to play the opening mods, but I can at least start the story arc.

Excellent. I've been debating between attending Originis or Gencon, since I can't make it to both, and you just helped make up my mind! See you in Indy!

i specifically scheduled the debut of the story arc to NOT be during the tourney!!!!
the tourney has always been at 8PM, so Matt and I scheduled as much as we could AROUND the tourney, then filled in for those that don't participate or can't get into the tourney. then there are those that might get into the tourney and find they don't like it after the first night, and can drop out and still play some SR... and the midnight slot is scheduled just for those IN the tourney if they're crazy enough to get out of the tourney and want to play some more SR!!! the only thing i didn't know at the time was when the two seminars (What's up with FanPro, and What's up with Shadowrun) are scheduled. i'm sure we'll conflict somewhere...we have a pretty full schedule for a con... |

slight correction / update...
I recently found out that the Gencon Tourney will be at 7PM !!! as a result, I have worked with Brett (the Convention Manager for FanPro) and we are rescheduling the SRM events as follows: events that were at 16:00 (4PM) will now be at 14:00 (2PM) so that they finish at 6pm and give you an hour for dinner events that started at 12:00 (Noon, 12PM) will now be at 09:00 (9AM) so that they finish at 1:00 PM and give you an hour break before the 2PM slots... there, now our main events don't conflict with the tourney. they DO conflict with other SR events, and we do have some events (earlier ones) that will run during the tournament for those people that don't get involved with it (the tourney)... we'll be better organized for next year... |

Thanks for the update, I was just looking at putting together my GenCon schedule last night and I see that I can almost exclusively play SR for the three days that I'll be there! :D
It looks like the 4PM events have been moved to 2PM, but the 12PMs have not been updated yet. Do you know if the changes will be made before tomorrow (event registration opens up)? Cheers, ct |

Rich,
I'm signed up to play Demolition Run on Thursday night and can free up Staurday and Sunday to play or run a game(s) if necessary. I'd especially be more amiable to the latter if a round zero could be arranged sometime on Wednesday evening. R. Timm SRC #111 |
